Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson

As has been said, he wants to be a fullback. If the Roosters signed Teddy he's going to get pissed off and will probably ask for a release. I'm not sure if that's really a reflection on his commitment, his employers are headhunting his replacement while he's still there!

if it was another club maybe but its the roosters. teddy is the finished product, latrell is a work in progress. the roosters will always buy the finished product instead of the work in progressif they can.

then if in 2 years the kid turns out better they'll just buy him back.

He would have his nose out of joint with rumours that roosters have signed Tedesco. He is only 19, so plenty of time to mature. Would rather him than ferguson.

Indeed. It's rapidly becoming apparent that the real premium players on the market are in short supply with little or no chance of the Tigers signing Cronk, Widdop, Foran, Johnson et al. So the club has to make a virtue out of necessity and try to find some bargains. The likes of Ferguson, whose best days were at least three or four years ago and would now represent nothing but three years of overpaying someone, aren't the way to go.

This is with the usual caveat that until you know what the contract is there's no such thing as a universally good or bad signing. I'd rather have Ferguson on $200k than Mitchell on a million…

Considering the Roosters would be paying a large chunck of his salary it would not be that much of a risk..I am sure the coach will make the right call but would be a lot cheaper than Tedesco and has talent to boot.

Interview with him during the weekend after his game

Interview sums it up….nice to see the young bloke smiling. Would be hard being the next Inglis. Inglis is the best centre I have seen.

100% I would take him. This kid is going to be something special. Play him at fullback and see how he goes.

Was going to say we might have a fight on our hands with the Dogs trying to sign him but im pretty sure they overlooked him as a junior and he said he would never play for them.

Hi fellas,

Apparently Trent Robinson has had enough of Latrell Mitchell's discipline on field especially with his work ethic at training.

Heard the Roosters are shopping him around.

I think Latrell would look terrific in our colours

BTW where did you hear this rumour?

With you 100% on this one, Snake. While I think we do need to sign experience, a good squad also does need that balance of youth and he is an undeniable talent.

Would take him in an instant, if the roosters were to pay his salary would make it an even easier decision.

He would be the talent we need to attrack, is NRL quality and can fit across the backline if needed.

Fullback spot would be solved for next year if he was here.

If i can escape into dreamland for a minute.

1\. Mitchell
6\. Lolohea
7\. Brooks
9\. McIlwrick

That's arguably a better spine than we have now. And with the Roosters and Warriors potentially chipping in for 2018, it would cost less than we have now and would give us room to really assemble a formidable pack. Add a cheap outside back as well.

Mitchell is 5 years younger than Tedesco too.
