Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson

Surprised, as the inference is we want him now, ok that would be great but I would have thought he would be a great option for the long term so why not say ok not this year but we want you for 2018 and the future ?.

Tigers have made no enquiries about Mitchell it's not gonna happen.

Why not?
i'd like the Roosters feel some heat for a change. We should be targeting their players.

Yep I agree let's make sure there players want to play for crap $$$$ at the Roosters

He's contracted to 2020 for one and 2 the roosters don't want to let him go.

this tread should be closed, neither have any chance of coming to the tigers. remember the rooters have no salary cap ceiling.

Sorry. didn't realise he was contracted till the start of 2020.

They will have to let some go(no salary cap)very funny but in reality they do have one and it will be investigated and they can't keep them all

They will let him go eventually. Why would they want to keep an unhappy player on big bucks complaining and sulking all the time if they don't even need him. Yes they've invested in him but that happens all the time at other clubs, eventually he/his agent will complain enough for them not to be bothered with him anymore.

They would have to have foreseen and accepted this by signing Teddy.

Watson is a very, very real possibility… watch this cap space. Very!!
Latrell unlikely, shame, he's a freak.

Interesting mate. You don't have a history of spreading rumours. Solid source? Any idea on timing?

Legit? I can't believe anything anymore.

Bloody Tacky lol.

Would be stoked with Watson though. I know we have inquired but I don't know whether Roosters would grant a release.

We approached the roosters over 2 weeks ago about watson and were shut down

That's some good news!

Shame about Mitchell but Roosters won't release a guy signed til 2020 which his level of skill and potential. Interesting to see how much game time he will be getting over the next few seasons though.

He's going to get plenty of game time, if they don't release him.

You can't keep a kid like that in reserves forever, he'll just kick up too much of a stink, it's destabilising. Also it's wasted salary cap, I'm sure he's on a decent wicket even if it's his first FG contract, it's a couple of hundred thousand that is better spent elsewhere.

Great footballers never get stuck in reserves, it's one of the prime drivers of the salary cap. Seriously name for me an outstanding talent who has been stuck in reserve grade for years by his current club? Tui Lolo is the best example I can think of, and he's not even been in reggies that consistently, and he's borderline being released.

Even the "paper bag" clubs can't just hoard talent in reggies, otherwise you would think that their feeder clubs would be tearing up the ISP. Which they are not, can you even name the feeder club for the Roosters?

Why are we still talking about these 2 ,the Roosters will use them up and spit them out in a few years to be thrown on the scrap heap ,that is how that club operates. The players only have themselves to blame suckers !

You would think once the Teddy signing is made public, the NRL will be putting some pressure on the Chooks to show how they intend to be compliant come 2018\. I think than we might see the Chooks throw some talent out in the market place.

There will be a up roar if they trot out basically the same roster plus Teddy next year, but we are talking the Chooks
