@BalmainJnr if you go off what someone mentioned above is that it’s latrells Management that is delaying the signing. He could easily be feeding stories like these to the media in order to bump up his clients earning. I do think we’re close to getting it over the line

I think its obvious, LM and his Manager and hoping another offer comes to the table....If I were Pascoe I'd be putting a deadline of this Friday, if he is playing games with the club before he has signed, what sort of attitude will he bring to the club, we all know the public's perception of this guy, he has a big head and doesn't always turn up with his A game..

Appreciate the info previously and now. Hopefully this comes to end one way or another by the end of the week/early next week.

@tigerap If this *is* the case you tell LM's agent to stick it. If the person doesn't want to be there for that type of money, you find someone worth it who does. And if you can't, then you don't spend the money. You'd be selling out your culture.

Build from within. Grow the environment, make it a place worth being at. Advertise how good it is, get people within the place to demonstrate how good it is. Over time you'll get good players wanting to come here or the good players we've grown wanting to stay here.

It's frustrating but I think you're right. If we keep going the way we are, managing our cap better, sorting our admin right, fixing up the training facilities, then in a few years we will most likely be a very sought after club to play for. If a player of LM's high calibre came on the market then, and we had the cap space, it would be perfect timing. Is it too soon now?

Hopefully LM can see we are moving forward, and he joins us and we mive forward and upward together - if he succeeds with us (and I think he's too good not to) then his stature as one of the games elite will only rise.

He would know exactly what is going on with Latrell and his Manager
I am confident in one of two things
1/ Either the Wests Tigers and Latrells manager are finalising the contract now
And/ Or
2/ The Wests Tigers are looking at an alternative marquee signing

I seem to remember a few players who screwed the Wests Tigers a few years ago dragging out contract negotiations for months leading us on only to sign elsewhere
This all seemed to be happening right under our noses and in secret

I hope we learnt from our past and this is not a case on Deja-vu

Zac Lomax is young and unproven but has heaps of potential

I'd chase him hard (we might be already as we've shown interest in him) and if he accepts and LM is still delaying just pull the contract

Lomax at least seems level headed and eager to learn

I’ve seen him play too and I don’t get the hype. I don’t get the hype with Drinkwater either.

@gallagher If there isn't a rule against it, there should be. I remember years ago the Broncos parading Mundine around at a presser in their jersey while he was midway through a season with St George. It was a disgusting look. I think Benji might have done something similar when he signed with the Auckland Blues but at least you could argue then it was for a team in a different code playing out of a different country. Either way it's not a good look.

If I was 22 and playing for Australia and the national coach gave me a call & offered free flights to take alook around to potentially join his team I would at least go and have a chat especially if I hadn’t actually agreed to terms with anyone.

I don't get the hype for Drinkwater either

I do believe Lomax has a big future though from what I've seen

Only a handful of NRL games but some nice little touches and reads in play showed some maturity and a cool head

He seems to me to have a natural instinct for the game and has plenty of time to learn and develop

@tiger05premier fair enough, we need a back up option if LM does go elsewhere. Thompson can’t play the season at fullback if we are a chance for top 8 imo.
