We are all sick of the apparent ‘Inside intel’ and I’m sorry to throw some more out, but, apparently the delay atm is because the roosters have yet to release Mitchell, delaying the announcement by the tigers, this is from westlife ( the guy who licked the shoe)
But he is still confident tigers will announce that LM has signed... this week sometime.
So take from that what you will guys.

We could announce that we've signed him for 2021 and beyond if that was the case.

FWIW I was chatting with Justin Olam’s brother tonight (plays for rabbits) and he said latrell most probably won’t be going to the Rabbitohs. (He reckons Titans)

On a side note, he did say Justin was deeply considering coming to the tigers before he re-signed with the storm, as the offer from the storm and the tigers was quite similar, but as he was already settled in Melbourne, he decided to stay.

By the sounds of it, roosters will be releasing LM, just waiting on them to do so.

Probably explains why there was an overzealous Justin Olam supporter pop up on the forum out of nowhere, pumping his tyres, and arguing with people about how good he was. Clearly a relative who thought he was coming here.

So Latrell is looking less likely to join us. Can someone tell me what we got out of releasing Ryan Matterson?

Just salary cap space with no one to spend it on? If that’s the case why not demand a player in return or sit him in second grade. We had the advantage and got nothing in return.

Yep, nothing stopping us announcing that.

Unless roosters have told us they will be releasing Mitchell, and now the tigers are just waiting for them to do it so the announcement can be from 2020 onwards.

I’m not exactly across the ins and outs of NRL contract negotiations but would there not need to be some sort of communication (let alone a little negotiation) between the club who are about to sign/have signed Latrell and the Roosters, since he is still contracted to them? Since it’s becoming apparent they still don’t know what he is doing, I’m doubting there will even be a resolution this week.. Seems to be too much still to take place for any announcement to be made, whether it’s us signing him or not.

From what I’ve gathered is, late Monday night it was revealed to insiders that Latrell will be signing or has signed, not sure.
It was thought the roosters would announce the release today, but they are yet to release him, hopefully tomorrow they will or at the latest on Friday.
