Remember guys

He's on holidays with family and hence wants to enjoy that. If i was him i would enjoy the holiday first and worry about contracts later.

Are you the Forgotten Man..?

With all that considered. I still want to know why all and sundry were told that an announcement would be Tuesday. What part of the multiple moves required has already been agreed upon?

My thoughts is that the Tigers and the Roosters have both come to an agreement that a release and Announcement can be arranged early in the week. Hence the assurance from people saying it’s done, announcement pending.
It just appears someone didn’t mention that to Latrell and his manager... And the final piece is a signature.

If Latrell feels like continuing his holidays for another couple of weeks, why doesn’t the manager say. We are looking at his options and when we are ready to make a decision we’ll have an update.

Did our club seem to think that the quote from LM’s manager, “we’ll talk next week” means get the press conference ready for early next week.

Really poor handling of such a high profile recruit.

Why would we want our fans to feel like we are the only option left?

@Needaname Well if you have sufficiently accurate inside information to say this has been "really poor handling", why don't you tell us where the negotiations are up to and whether or not Mitchell is coming?

@GNR4LIFE - dont we already have that? Talau and / or Walters? If so. I'd rather the club spend their cap elsewhere. No point buying another half when we have existing and p**ing them off. More forward power then some big wingers with a bit of speed please (Thompson & Nofo contracted till end of 2021)

@NT_Tiger - WT have had solid offer on table for a couple of weeks, LM and manager have been going around to other clubs being entertained and allowing those clubs to gain PR exposure when realistically they could not offer him either the amount of money and in most cases the position he wanted (fullback).

WT offer was there to take,, he hasnt- despite a visit to him by our management the other week in Taree (yes, I know bushfires) and is sub-consciously throwing our offer in our face (without saying it) by going anywhere else to look at jobs rather than WT. Sort of the old cliche 'ánywhere except Wests Tigers.....''.

Also we have to get rid of the entertaining of players who say either themselves or through their managers they dont like WT and dont want to play there. Recall Capewell, Arrow etc. OK if they say that, never offer them anything and if any media speculation occurs shut it down immediately.

Pride guys. We have to learn again to treasure it, promote it and not turn the other cheek to slights and things that are plain wrong.

So when other clubs publicly entertain and wine and dine Latrell, these clubs “gain PR exposure” but if we conduct discreet, professional negotiations with him out of the media glare, somehow we are humiliated ?

Borderline paranoia

I wouldn't not chase Brown because we have Walters. You're even stretching it with Talau.

@GNR4LIFE - yes, but we have the 2020 season to see how they go dont we? Bloody awful succession planning if we are already writing them off.

Coaching wise I can't see that Bennett is any advantage over Maguire

Maguire's Kiwis beat the Bennett coached Great Britain twice in Oct-Nov and it's really gone under the radar how bad GB have gone on their return as a side after 10+ years, also getting beat by Tonga and pretty soundly by PNG, so 0-4 in the off season under Bennett

Bennett was a very good coach

Bradman was a very good batsman

I'm sure Talau will do fine in the centres. And if it comes down to a choice between Brown and Walters, i'll take Brown everyday of the week. Twice on Sundays.

I don’t have any idea. I’m just going off what everyone else is told. And haven’t we all been told by guys on this forum on other forms of social media that it’s a done deal and they have sources that have assured them this.
How are their sources getting this information?
It’s being leaked right?
Sounds like the ship has left the dock without picking up the captain.
I like you, I assume should be one of the last people to find out.
So when it is that you get this info. Your thinking ok it’s confirmed. Yet it’s not.
Why say anything to begin with?
Why not leak to the ‘sources’ we are working away at it but there is nothing concrete to report yet.
So what is the club really leaking if not nothing.
Either that or those in the ‘know’, really know nothing and are just spreading positive propaganda in the meantime.

So yeah I know nothing, other than it has been poorly handled and I’m not talking about how the deal is getting done, I mean in letting us plebs know to expect it’s getting done.

Why signing Latrell Mitchell will be tough for North Queensland Cowboys
By AAP

North Queensland football boss Peter Parr admits it will be difficult for the NRL club to table a tempting offer to Latrell Mitchell. There was speculation Cowboys hooker Jake Granville may leave Townsville, freeing up money for North Queensland to make a serious play for Sydney Roosters star Mitchell.

While Parr couldn't guarantee that Granville would be at the club in 2020, he said even if the livewire rake departed North Queensland still wouldn't have enough cash to lure Mitchell. Parr said it would take a number of players to leave for the Cowboys to field a competitive offer for the Roosters X-factor."And that is where it all gets complex," Parr told Sky Sports Radio.

"When you are talking about someone like Latrell you are talking about multiple years in the deal and whether you need to shift players."Then you have to work out how that affects you culturally and if you have still have enough money."So there are a lot of conversations to be had.

Yep. I am convinced 99.9% on here do not understand the concept of what a holiday actually is.
