The longer it dragged on, the more desperate the club looked, so I am pleased they've stood their ground and pulled the offer. I'm not as enthusiastic about JAC as others seem to be. I hope that's not what we end up with as our "marquee" signing after all the cash we have atm.

I don't think they looked desperate at all. Why do you look desperate chasing an elite player?

The club would have certainly looked desperate if they signed him on the conditions he wanted.

The rumour is they pulled the offer so Lattrel would take it as a wake up call, as he has no other offers for 2020, in the hope they could start negotiations afresh. Which means another month of fun.

 😕 :expressionless: :disappointed: :flushed:

I love the decision by the club actually. Latrells manager has screwed up royallly. If they were not.communicating then pull the offer.

Good job.

I wonder if you'll feel that way in September next year when we've just finished 14th?

I will, even if we finished 16. He obviously did not want to come to Wests Tigers - ok that is his prerogative.

I would, personally not keep the offer open if he decided to change his mind.

Que Avo..... You are an idiot Russ. Now you have no need to respond.

We released Matterson and Marsters early and now our best hope is to POSSIBLY sign Luciano Leilua and Zane Musgrove. I think this leaves us with a weaker squad than 2019. Paying $2000 for Season Tickets to NOT make the Semis again is a decision that will haunt me

I think the club has shown strength in pulling the contract. It is a statement saying we are a first grade club and we are not going to be manipulated by players and/or player managers. Latrell had ample time to sign on what was an excellent deal that could have set him up for life. If we had have stayed whimpering around, almost begging him to sign, we would have been an embarrassment and the message to other players would have been you can treat the Tigers like crap, because they are desperate. Well done Madge and Pascoe and whoever else was involved with the decision to pull the contract.

Luciano is 100% with us, all pieces are falling in place and the Pom confirmed it

do you really think that the club with over a $million CAP space hasn’t a contingency plan?

Honestly, I don't believe we have a contingency plan.

Already been reported on nrl.com that we're now in for JAC.

so...we badly need a fullback so we're looking to sign a winger?

In your own words...

"You have to grab these top line players when they are available"

Now you are saying don't grab them...Sheeesh!!!!!

2020 looks a write off, but 2021 offers potential if we play the long game.

I just do not want panic buying to appease people desperate for 8th spot in 2020.

I think it was too little too late. Our capitulation to Ivan & Matterson means that most managers now think that they can bend us over.

Who manages Maguire, and don’t they have a few players that they can feed us

Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
You gullible fools!!!

I told all you fools from the start, players like Latrell Mitchell don't come to the Weststigers.
I really can't believe you actually thought it would happen.

Drone malfunction...

Someone is looking foolish..agreed..

Did you take my drone story seriously?

I genuinely think some people did, one of the highlights of this thread. And really, a summation of it.

Well if they did, it's confirmation that people will believe anything if it suits their bias.
Obviously I was just having a laugh at the whole situation.

My constant "has he signed yet" posts were also taking the piss out of everyone hanging on every piece of "news" to come out, I really enjoyed the whole ride.
Reading the stuff posted on here just shows how desperate we are to sign a quality player.

You are the first to incessantly whinge that the club is useless and mediocre and never do anything to change our forever 9th situation. They attempt to do so and the whole time you take the pessimistic route and dump on everyone who had hopes that it would come to fruition and that the club might finally be a place that could attract a player of LM's calibre. And then when it does fall through at the 11th hour you piss on the ashes of everyone's flamed out hopes.

Dick move.

Can you replace your word ‘move’ With the word ‘head’. I think that would be more accurate

You don't think we should allocate some money to our spine? We have no fullback, we have no hooker. You're ok with that?

As good as JAC is, his potential signing underwhelms me. If you're looking to land a big name, wingers should be the last ones you look at.

Stupid for not compromising the Club standards they want to achieve…?

what standards are they Geo? Never winning anything, ever? I've followed this club since I was old enough to follow rugby league but i've just about had enough.

Once a club starts to kowtow to player's rediculous demands the club is on a path out. That's why roosters are a top club.

And we are going to end up as good as the roosters
