Strong mail coming out of the Roosters is he's gone from there and we are a big chance, with Hartigan a big link between us and Latrell
Same source is usually very reliable although he did have TPJ heading to the Roosters previously so he's not perfect but his strike rate is high

Maybe Hartigan might advise "don't touch him with a ten foot pole"

He may do but the Roosters were still prepared to offer Latrell $800k with everything they know about his "off field issues"
Agree though Hartigan is good to have in our camp for any evaluation of the situation

FOX Sports reported that Wests Tigers could make Mitchell a $3.3 million offer for the next three seasons, having freed up money with Ben Matulino's retirement and Ryan Matterson's looming departure. However, the deal would be contingent on Mitchell playing fullback, which would require better fitness.

3.3!!!

stuff me

he isnt worth taht much

@TigersBusDriver people that speak foul of him are usually always subjective in their opinions I've noticed; like with Robbie. He might be young but he won't allow himself to be bullied or pushed into making a decision you get the impression. It would take some backbone to come to the world famous Wests tigers after going back-to-back at club level and representing both country and state.

What if he's tired of being underpaid and/or underappreciated at the roosters and wants to earn respect elsewhere and challenge himself. He could potentially become a legend if he came to the club - folks are way too quick to write him off at 22. Wherever he goes I hope he pushes on.

Can he kick goals from infront of posts?

Yes for the Rorters for the next 3 years on a much "reduced" salary, topped up by paper bags.

Wests Tigers or Pooper?

This is just a guess, but I reckon now that V'landys is in charge of the N.R.L., the Wacky Woosters :chicken: have realised they are in deep :hankey: salary cap wise and have to offload someone urgently, and Lattrell is possibly the most convenient to move along.

When he was mentioned on here some time back, I said "no thanks", better to be conservative, but recent positive posts have changed my mind about him coming to Wests Tigers.

After some deep and meaningful discussions with myself, I reckon Lattrell will be a much better fit here with Us in Leichhardt, Ashfield, Homebush, Campbelltown and Tamworth than with those hoity-toity upper crust late sipping la-dee-dahs in the Wacky :chicken: suburbs.

Plus...he 'could' be an excitement machine...just the sort of player we need to build a better future around....... but for a million + bucks a season??

If he does come here, it'll be because Madge wants him here.......and that's good enough for me....... as I have faith in Madge.

Happy Christmas to all out there in our Jungle :tiger2: 😛alm_tree: 😛alm_tree: 😛alm_tree: :tiger2: 😛alm_tree: 😛alm_tree: 😛alm_tree: :tiger2: , and to those not in our Jungle .......bad luck.......but look on the bright side as there is always next year. But Happy Christmas to you anyway :camping::christmas_tree: :cherries::church: :canoe: :mother_christmas: :boat: :santa: :airplane: :tada:

You forgot Parramatta.

To be honest I have always had the view that Mitchell was a a bit of a tool. But over the last week, following this story, my views have changed somewhat. He is a young man of 22 years, has a family and is still learning his craft. There is not a single person I can think off that does not have some learning to do at that age, especially if you are continually put under the spotlight as he is. Yes he can be brash and is aggressive on the field but he has never had any issues I am aware off outside of the game.

I think he is a young man who needs mentoring and support which he may not be getting at the Roosters as there are already so many egos at that place to be pampered too. Yes, he is a risk, but so are most players at that time of their career. I would take a punt on him but ensure that the contract is in our favour, maybe a 1 x1 x 1 contract in the clubs favour. We need to be creative in getting quality players but do it in such a way that we can avoid long term potentially dangerous signings.

This may the be the best thing for the club, the players and Latrell himself. Bring him to a club that has a more inclusive culture and a welcoming attitude and see him grow with the support of team mates, coach and supporters.

Just like ponga for the knights, latrell would be a player that puts prospective tigers recruits that we are a legitimate club on the up.

It's not without risk, l say ... let's do it with rhe right caveats.

People just need to be patient, this will all work itself out. Some of you are panicking more than Sandra Bullock in Gravity...Can someone name a better centre/fullback on the market right now? Bearing in mind we're looking for both positions...

I would give anything for Latrell to come to Tigers....

We really need to offload Reynolds tho,

We’ve tried. No takers.

Hmmm sounds like this is the thing you were talking about the other day 🤔

An allocation from the cap of this amount would mean a more strategic approach to recruitment. This is a significant change from the JT era.
