I don’t wanna be that guy who brags about info but I only sometimes get info from a few sources as I work in the sporting industry

And from what I’ve been told by a close friend of Latrell is that he’ll go where the money is - which makes me more confident he’ll sign with us assuming we have more cap room and are offering a 4 year deal

Wants to support his family, and I think the reason he took up the cowboys meeting was to set a bidding war between the two parties - and I think that got the tigers to offer him a new contract of 4 years instead of 3 (that’s just an assumption)

I’m confident that we will sign him

"Go where the money is", that's Mundine talking. He would be better off going where he will be happy, but hopefully that will be the same place.

Why wouldn't he? He's done a Karmichael and achieved everything you pretty much can in league. Won premierships, played for his state and country.

Apparently 'get deadly' is a hugely common and popular phrase amongst indigenous Australians. It's not as bad as it literally sounds.

100% it is. When i first saw it i thought it was a great step in the right direction for our club.

So did Folou, and look how that's working out! Mitchell is much smarter than that but I'm not so sure about Mundine.

Campaigns like this, our indigenous training camps, game in taree would all be ticks for Mitchell.

If we can't get Mitchell, I wouldn't really want Valentine Holmes as a second choice.

Rather throw the money at two of these three: Frizell, JWH, JAC.

But I do really want Mitchell 🙂

"At this point unlikely to make an offer" is slightly ambiguous. Is there a point when cowboys will make an offer?

After Latrell tells them what we offered?

After they get an answer from Holmes I suspect.

NRL: Brad Fittler backs Latrell Mitchell to make fullback switch
By Matt Encarnacion

NSW coach Brad Fittler believes NRL star Latrell Mitchell can follow in the footsteps of Greg Inglis and make a successful transition to fullback.

Speculation about Mitchell's playing future has intensified after he was photographed meeting North Queensland officials on Monday night as he tests the market.

It came as Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson said he believed his centre Mitchell wants to play fullback and the premiers will probably need to move on without him.

Fittler believed Mitchell's immense talent would allow him to make the key positional switch."I reckon if Latrell puts his mind to it, I reckon Latrell can do anything," Fittler said at a launch of Blues jerseys for next year's State of Origin series."He's an incredibly capable bloke."

Mitchell has also been heavily linked with the Wests Tigers, having met with coach Michael Maguire in his hometown Taree last week.

New Cowboys centre Esan Masters, who joins the club from the Tigers, said any NRL club would be lucky to have Mitchell.

The pair played SG Ball together at the Roosters in 2014.

“Look, if he comes to the Cowboys, all the boys would be welcoming. I’ll be welcoming,” Marsters told reporters on Tuesday.

“It’d be good to have him on your side rather than against you.

“If he comes to our side, it’s going to boost our backline. I think just give us a bit more X-factor. But there’s a lot of talent in this team.” Piss off Esan, pretty boy
