@tigerbalm The point isn't whether Souths are interested or not, it's that the Roosters won't release him to Souths.

So their interest would be irrelevant.

He can sign with us for 3-4 years and then walk out after 1 to join Souths.

That is what happens when a club rolls over and allows it to happen with a coach and one of their better players within 12 months

Just saw Tommy re-signing announcement on Twitter and at first glance the photo looked like Latrell. Saw "OFFICIAL - Wests Tigers are pleased to announce.." Glanced down at the photo - Yeahh!... Ahhh... Ok.

I think having fans questioning every recruitment is a good thing

We had the best fullback in the game and it didn't help

We need to find the right mix in the forwards and backs , buying a great footballer doesn't mean he will be great buy for us

Our club is on a roll with signings. We have reason to be positive. This is a big move by the Roosters to let him go. Things must have really broken down.

Sometimes taking a good or even great player out of a familiar and successful environment and transplanting them into a wholly different setup just doesn't work. Most will remember Blair coming to us from the Storm. High expectations mostly unrealised. Reckon Mitchell is several rungs higher on the class ladder, ace goal kicker and a genuine game changer. His acquisition would likely attract more sponsorship, boost membership and ensure all home matches are sellouts. Hope it comes off.

@Harvey I think the days when Indigenous players are expected to play for Souths may be ending.Latrelle may want to make his own way and make his own statements and push back at that stereotype. The demographic in South Sydney is changing by the day and it won't matter which club he is with. With social media and traditional media he could easily project his profile to the Indigenous community if that is his wish .

@avocadoontoast Fair call Avocado man. Yes, myself and a lot of others could be accused of being paranoid, but it is borne out of disappointments from the past - eg Moses, Tedesco, Woods keeping everyone in the dark for so long and eventually pulling the pin on the club. Waiting for DWZ to arrive and then end up at the Dogs - agreed nobodies fault, but it still happened. Lattrell joins the Tigers with a good attitude, I will be supporting him all the way.

So apparently there is a few clubs in the mix for LM still and Tigers are not certain to pick him up.. LM is in no hurry to make up his mind so with that i can only assume he has us as a very very last resort.. If he wanted us he would commit but i think he really wants to go to a bigger club and is happy to wait it out... As a Club where do we draw the line - Do we say here is your deadline or do we try for another player with the money and if he doesn't commit we sign that other player.
As a club we just need to crack 1 big name signing and that will change everything but sadly I don't think it will be LM.
