@tigerap any news on when we are likely to hear a announcement if he is in fact just waiting to be announced?

Sydney Morning Herald saying next week which could fit in when the Senior players return to training.

@Elderslie_Tiger

Yes, except Trell is exempt from training with any team till after Christmas due to his Australian team representation.

I read it differently- SMH said Tigers would sit down for discussions with Latrell’s management in next week or so. Just discussions- no announcement yet

if he signs then AWESOME! if he doesn't then oh well OK - it is what it is - 48 hours till announcement? either way? :joy:

***I still have reservations about his game day attitude (call it ego or arrogance)*** but hey that's why there's a coach - I am sure Madge will straighten him out...

Try attitude... Just attitude

From all what I've heard or read... the kid is really nice so I can't just say attitude... "game day" added to be more specific

@Tiger_Steve Tigerap said we where just getting the PR and announcement details ready in regards to Mitchell so i was asking him the question in relation to his comments from earlier today.

judging off this thread, am i the only wests tigers fan that doesnt get 'inside info' ?

You need to get out more often. There is always a BBQ or a coffee lady or a friends brother with inside info to pass on. You're not trying hard enough.

G'day @TigerTrell: A big welcome to Our Wests Tigers Forum.......enjoy!!!:v: :fa-smile-o: :snowman: :santa:

Well, following the WT has returned nothing but heartache for a long time now. As fans we have seen (in no particular order):

A. Coaches promise so much and not deliver, only to be fired usually within a year or two
B. Our Chairperson being betrayed from within by our own Board
C. Our CEO getting busted for salary cap cheating
D. We had one of the best players of the comp come through, and after two years of standing by him whilst he was injured, he then jumped ship along with most of our other quality players, all at the same time, after they strung us along
E. Our replacement "best" players pretty much all failed miserably, with but one exception, who just up and left us one year into a 3 year deal anyway
F. We have had a few "must-win" matches which would have propelled us into the finals, only to be smashed each and every time (sometime even at one of home grounds in front of sizeable home crowds)

We finally now have some positives, signing some hopefully great youth with massive potential, a coach who hopefully wants to stick around, a Chairperson who hopefully can really make a difference in the business world...

(Edit: Plus a new training facility via a "Centre of Excellence" being built - a massive plus)

We are linked to one of the best players in the whole comp, and at times we seem to be perhaps be the only horse in the race... if we can land this guy, we have a real chance to actually become a contender, something we haven't really been in almost a decade. And we may not get another opportunity like this, where we have a shot at such a massive player with not much competition for him. This is huge, this could be the could be biggest thing to ever happen to our club...

So yeah, I'm nervous. I'm checking social media every five minutes or so (commitments allowing) hoping to see the "Breaking News..." It's not life or death, but the dream is so close now... so close... it would be so cruel for us to miss out again...

You poor bugger.

Winding it up into such a big deal is just begging for disappointment.

Every 5 minutes? That's like 200 times per day.

I’d just like to add that Milford and Moylan are available . Different types of players , but much cheaper options . Hopefully this news puts pressure on a decision to be made

Wouldn't be surprised if the Milford rumour starts up again now that Croft is on his way to Brisbane.

yeaaa nahhh i would pass on Milford and Moylan and stick with Latrell, and Luciano........

get some young talent in a ranks a go

All i can say is aren’t we glad we didn’t rush out and sign bums like Moylan and Milford, and even DWZ this season. No way would we have been able to get in the position we are with Mitchell. That’s why you don’t rush out and sign any joker you can. You wait till the perfect player becomes available and you pounce.

Holmes on way back.

I get people trying to tell me "mail" they've come across, and 80% of the time I'm thinking "pretty sure that just cam from the forum".

From Reading The Play on Twitter:

“Plenty of noise around that a) Tigers offer to Mitchell is not where the Mitchell camp would like it to be and b) Cowboys have made a very strong play...

All likely gets sorted over next few days one way or another.”
