@Newtown I've seen no proof that it's finalized.
He has toured the NQ training grounds but hasn't even set foot at Concord.
Don't you find that strange? He was pitched in Taree and that's it.
I'm not confident he wants to come.

@matchball why would you won’t him to tourer the marvellous facilities at Concord ... then he definitely would be calling the Gladiator! It would be a short tour.,

Have you been to concord? I’ve been once. It’s embarrassing.

The silence is deafening.
That's not a positive sign. We need to move on with an ultimatum.

For all we know it could be us delaying an announcement to get the marketing ect done as someone mentoned on here early today. I think its a bit early to be tossing around ultimatums, but im sure if he is stuffing us around they will threaten to pull the offer.

@Tiger_Steve surely if he acknowledges that a state of the art training facility is only 18-24 months away, he can look past the embarrassing gymnasium in the short term - but he has to want to be invested in the place firstly.

My comment was not alluding to what Mitchell thinks. Just an observation of how poor our joint presents. But all good as it’s changing.
I still reckon he’s coming!

Yessir, well said. The COE is going to be one hell of an upgrade for the tigers & community. Here's a tweet sent out the other day regarding the COE from Dan Talintyre, media head at Wests:

How would we know if he met with us while he was in Sydney before flying to Townsville? Why are we all presuming an announcement would be made while he's away on holidays with his family (and hence rather uncontactable)?

We all have to realise that of course we're not his first choice either. We never could be. He's leaving the most successful club of the last decade to potentially join the worst club of the last decade, who also have the worst facilities. Money and opportunity are our only attractions. If a successful club offers him the same money and opportunity as us we're in trouble

Reckon it's even worth touring our facilities when we are setting up in demountables and demolishing Concord for the COE build after Christmas?

The Tigers, meanwhile, have stepped up their pursuit of Latrell. The joint-venture outfit has tabled a three-year deal from 2021, which will effectively become a four-year offer commencing next season once the Roosters officially grant him a release. Given the premiers are paying more than $14,000 a week to a player they no longer want, they are keen to get the NSW and Australian centre off their books.

Latrell Mitchell's manager Wade Rushton
“The Tigers have shown great interest and they have put forward an offer they want to discuss with us,” said Mitchell’s manager, Wade Rushton.

“In the next week or so we should be able to sit down with them and discuss their offer.”

I have been there many times over the last 3 years, West Harbour Rugby (and we are a very poor club) who also has a gym at Concord in the Eastern Grand stand and it is far better than what the tigers have, so yes it is embarrassing as is the administration area.

Don't roosters have to release him first before he signs with another club?

Yep

Exactly. He could of agreed terms with us but until he is released we can't have him for next year. Until the roosters agree to him going we will not know his destination. Wait for the release and then worry. He could still have a year in cc if the roosters do what some on the forum wanted to do to rm.
