Get me a Flathead that size any day.

Used to catch ones bigger than that just off the Balmain wharves.
I remember catching a monster flathead on the wharf at Birchgrove oval.
Also Cockatoo island had plenty.

At that size you should leave them ....they are usually the breeders ...and taste wise they are far better when they are smaller

Take a photo for show and let em go

Oh yeah for sure. We used to go for the leather jackets mostly. We considered the flounders and flatheads bottom feeders back then. We used to sell them to the Greek fish and chip shop. Not actually sell but swap for chips and chicko rolls.

It's funny , but I'd take whiting and flathead over Leatherjacket anyday , but maybe I've never eaten it fresh

Actually caught a real small leatherjacket off squire reef in Gladstone ..talk about lost lol

Anyway back on subject Latrell Watch is getting boring , have we got any others people stalking players

Never hooked a marlin .....hooked up with a 5 foot northern blue fin on a hand line though set up for coral trout

Keep the thread on track please @geo ..anyway the holiday of our dreams awaits

Hurry up Latrell ..this is getting boring

More I think about it more I think Latrell isn’t meant to be a Tiger.Just think the pressure and hype around him wouldn’t suit our squad.Sure I think he would be an asset but I think over time Latrell would become a bit of side show and just heap pressure on the coach and squad which we don’t need

maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow

Perhaps not ever.

It's becoming as boring as long winded as the old "Days of Our Lives" TV serial.

it's more long winded and boring than that......

Where is Bow and Hope when you need them

How about Roman? He still the ladies man??? bahahaha

Can I ask a question of Tiger Bond without requoting the whole post. What is the bias you want people to protest against?

Back on track guys I would say LM will either be with WTs or playing CC for the Rorters reasoning being that we have the cash the Rorters are not interested their used his sombrero space to resign and upgrade others on their roster I think its just a matter of time(probably this week)

Here is an idea for the Wests Tigers

Make every game important to the indigenous of this country
How about a Welcome to the country speech at every Tigers home game as recognition to all Aboriginals, thier land, heritage and Value to our great game and to Our club.
By doing this and showing some initiative in our game and as a club we may just attract players like Latrell Mitchell Josh Addo Carr and Cody Walker
If we all stand with them as a club and its supporters and show we care about their traditions and culture and we value that then we may be able to sign some of these players with less difficulty
If we do this and they truly value thier culture then what better club is there to sign with
We could do something also with our close Island nations which may also benefit the Tigers in the long run with signing some of their players
You only have to look at the number of players pledging there allegiance to their small Island nations to see what it means to these players
Don't underestimate Culture
We should embrace it

Great idea.. however “Tiger” doesn’t resemble indigenous Australia at all.
Feel this would suit the Rabbitohs much better then us, not sure why they don’t do it actually!

If we do it because the club thinks it’s valuable and they strongly believe in it then id have no problem with that. For the reasons that you have listed would be the shallow virtue signalling of the worst kind and I’d be reconsidering my membership.

It would be a token gesture and would put a heap of people offside....Might even be seen as a cheap effort by some sections of fans

Why not use our charity/community initiatives to better use in the indigenous communities? That has substance and can make a real, effective difference. A welcome to country at every game would not.

All our players and us have one thing in common...we are all Aussies. Maybe we could unite under that banner.

What about our players from NZ, Samoa and Tonga?
