Latu Fainu #282

Had some classy moments with the ball against Penrith. His running game is lethal too. If he can improve his fitness and become a durable, 80-minute player, then wow, he could be anything. For now though I think coming off the bench suits him. Let him work his minutes up.

Galvin who?
Yeah good pick up. Think he may need to work on his fitness but overall I think he has alot to offer. His first few movements are quick and nimble, which adds something we didn't have when LG was there. Hopefully Fainu stays fit and can build into next season.

Keep in mind his age - this kid is going to be great for us. Both sides of his game are great for where he is in his career at the moment.

Moses/Gus did us a favour.

A much, much better halves prospect who's going to help unlock a lot of our players, as we've seen glimpses off in his few appearances.

So divided about Latu!

He is a great 5/8 but has the potential to be great lock to give us width and straighten up our attack.
Latu is a 7 imo
Playing him anywhere outside of 6 or 7, long term, should be a criminal offence and we'd deserve to lose him.

Luai a 6.

I'd be more inclined for mason to move to a 13 role but I would prefer we sign actual 13 and have mason off the bench..

Perhaps especially with manager Tartak in his ear.

But how important is the smaller middle linkman in today's game & Latu brings exceptional passing & deception as well as wrestle (and would develop in this with game time and development)!

IMO he could continue to revolutionise the lock role but then again he can become a great 5/8.

Anyway that's one for the coach!

I thought we looked at our best with 3 ball players on the field Romey Latu and Mason,we seemed to have far more options in attack.
Definitely more options in attack, but at the same stage today we also had another small forward in either Bird or Murray on the field. Difficult to stop the opposition rolling through the middle in defence with so many smaller players through the middle
