Laurie Daley on ABC Grandstand

Laurie Daley was just interviewed on ABC Grandstand 30 minutes ago and they asked him in relation with key positions for State of Origin and he said the following :

# He favours a halfback and 5/8 combination that play at Club level so it's less pressure for them both and know how they play .
# He said that last year's winning series squad will be in the back of there minds (Coaching staff) but at the same time said that Club form will dictate there selection.
# He said Dugan would be one that he would play out of position if need to as he has done it already in Centre and Wing and done a fine job for the Blues
# Was asked about the fullback position and who was the top 3 and he said Moylan , Stewart and Dugan and he also went onto say that he would be Reluctant to select Tedessco this year.

Hopefully that will give the Tedessco playing Origin this year a rest .

I wouldn't pick Tedesco either. He'd get flattened in Origin level contact. He's skillful but he can't take a hit.

I don't think it matters who Daley picks. If Cronk, Thurston & Smith are right for Qld & given the "form" of blues halves options it will probably be another massacre like game 3 last year.
