LAWRENCE: ‘I’M THE FITTEST I’VE BEEN IN THREE YEARS’

over the last 3 years i don't think i have pulled for a player as much as lawrence.it has just been sad to see

right now,i would settle for him being able to defensively shut down an edge.if he could do that i would be happy and anything more would be a huge bonus.

A typical preseason media piece of fluff we get every year??? Or is their something to get optimistic about??

I think maybe it is something to hang some hope on, a lot what he said makes sense. Anyway in just over a month we will know the answer and most people in the NRL world would love to see Lawrence get back to where he was a few years ago

Keen to see how Lawrence moves in the 9's tournament. He should see plenty of space and it will be a great test of his lateral movement. He's not as quick as he was pre-hip injury, but he is lighter than he has been for several years and I'm hopeful his lateral defence will be much improved as a result.

I don't think there is a WT fan that isn't praying for Rowdy to regain the form and consistency of the past…FTR I don't believe he was that terrible last year bar 1 stinker against Souff's the second time round ....his form was solid though not inspiring....If he doesn't well we have scapegoat No. 1 and a test of Taylor's selection policy...

I'm more keen to see how Rowdy finishes games off in 2015

He seemed more like a forward losing speed and lateral movement as games went on as he tired

May have just been coincidental

I hope he isn't shown up in the 9's for speed and getting around him . The Forum will go into meltdown.
I fear he is going to be easily exposed in this Tournament .
Wish him best of luck

I went to the open training session yesterday and watch the team and he did seem to be moving quicker than previously in drill and the games of touch they had, even allowing for the shocking weather.

The team looked happy and when we met them afterwards I got a good feeling for 2015.

I hope we get a break with injuries and we could surprise a few

Well he was playing busted so I guess it took its toll on him as the season wore on Happy. We'll get some idea of how he's moving soon enough.

This has been my biggest bug bare with Rowdy ..always tried to carry to much muscle which intern increases weight. I always thought if he could lose some weight say the Jamie Lyon mode he would be heaps better for it .

Lawrence may be the fittest he's ever been , but if he can't catch a ball what's the point .

It will make a difference when Lawrence is just one of 4 or 5 attacking threats in the backline. Once Simona went down injured, he was pretty much our only attacking weapon (very loose use of the terminology).

Wasn't knocking him Willow , but that will be the true answer to many of our questions about Rowdy

Good onya, Chris. Does that mean less of those embarrassing misreads in defence and the consequent draining of energy from those who gave you the opportunity to do better? Man,….I hope so.

Jesus Christ, is this clown still on our books?

Can't catch
Can't tackle
Isn't evasive
Is slow.

….but he is aerobically fit lol
