Lawrence in the pack

Lawrence over the last 2 games for me has been outstanding. Credit to him.
2 games in 3 years is some strike rate that said hopefully he kicks on as a 2nd rower.

I'm not sold. He has a long way to go before I'll call him a back rower.
That said, he has played 2 fine games in a row. I haven't said that in 5 years I'd say.

He looks so much more confident. Ball in hands is great for confidence.

He sure does. So much so he almost scored off a bomb in the 1st half. When did Rowdy start catching bombs?!!

Good on him, hope he makes the position his own.

I think Lawrence is better suited to Taylor ball than our other 2nd rowers.

He runs a hard line off a short ball really well…..and he runs a good decoy as well.

And he hits and sticks in defense.

IMO we are going way better with Chris on that left edge!

Lawrence has offered 1000 times more in the back row than Sironen.

I don't know if this says more about Sironen or Lawrence.[/quote?

Lawrence does the tough hard stuff that siro shys away from. Siro needz ro involve himself alot more when playing, never seems interested in any of the donkey work coming out of our half

Never fully understood the hype surrounding Siro. Yeah a new position and all that but the kid needs to get his hands dirty and get the ball more. Hhes a big solid kid who needs to use his frame more. Im pretty sure hes inly had more than 100m on one occasion that says alot. Lawry two weeks in a row has had more than 120m and hes been a good cheap supercoach pickup if i can squeeze that in too hahaha

I don't think Siro has been any more effective than Lovett this yr tbh. Lovett has a superior work rate.

Hopefully Lawrence can hold onto that left edge second row position and make it his own. Has been playing really well there so far. Happy for him

Lovett has really grown on me of late, and I wouldn't be totally against a starting back row of he and Lawrence. Sirro could offer a lot off the bench if he runs hard and ball plays a bit up the middle late in the half, but at this stage he needs to earn his spot/wage.

Agreed r.e Sironen. He has been very unimpressive this season. Hasn't really done much at all in FG to be honest.

Have been impressed with Lawrence two games in the back row.

Maybe Sirro's injury has been a blessing for us.

Our forward look stronger without Sirro

Sue looks like he enjoys playing prop and playing in the centre of field.

I think exactly the same with regards to the ball playing lock role. I think its now a 3rd prop and I think that works better for us.

I still reckon Sirro will come good.

Some of my thoughts why I think he will kill it in back row:

- Natural Size: Lawrence has been struggling to keep weight off for a long time. I think he naturally is a big boy. Can't wait to see him after an off season, he will be a beast.
- Speed: He went from one of the slowest centres in the NRL to one of the fastest back rowers in the NRL
- Age: He is only 26, he has plenty of time to re-develop
- Heart: There is a reason why we haven't dropped Lawrence, because he is a Tiger through and through. You just watch, he will be that guy that puts his body on the line and makes some game saving tackles.

All the best Rowdy. I hope you find your old form as a back rower

I think Lawrence can become a real destructive ball runner aka luke Lewis and Sirro can be like Glen Stewart, can run or be a ball player. If so, as a club we're well positioned looking forward.
I may well be wrong with the examples used, a huge fan of the game but no expert.
