Brooks put one up which bounced and we had about 3 or 4 chasing through and close to the ball under the posts. Addo Carr got it and scrambled along the dead ball line leaving us all behind. Think he got out to the 20m line ot thereabouts. They scored that set.

It may have only been nines, but that was terrible, why bother even turning up if you are going to play like that
 
I cut mine Tuesday as well…already overdue lol.

As for the footy...if you dont give a stuff you get made look bog average. Very very poor start to the year for a coach looking to extend his contract.
 
Another embarrassing display…same old same old....Rankin and Littlejohn not up to first grade standard, Brooks and Simona looked like they didn't want to be there. Josh's 80 metre gallop only highlight...

We had more first graders than the 2 other teams we played.

I was expecting much but I was expecting more than what they give us.
With Brooks, Simona , Kev and Moses Suli in the team, I was kinda hoping one of them would have done something good in one of the first two games.
 
I would like to think that is as bad as we can get but i am sure that isnt the lowest performance of the year.We have worse to come.They honestly didnt even look like they had any training for either game.Terrible coaching.
The wrong attitude was taken in picking the side and basically declaring the club was not interested in doing well.
 
Seriously how bad are we?

I've watched every game so far and both our games were not only poor but they were also the most boring of the day. We didn't even play razzle dazzle yet still made sooooo many errors, our defence is laughable too.

It's pretty sad when Hunt looks like our most dangerous player.
Hopefully we get few injuries and none of these fringe players see first grade or we're in big trouble.

Can Mcllwrick engage a defender? (I could of played his role today)
Can Heleta tackle?
Jlj tries hard you can't take that from him but as average as they come.
Edwards is the same, works hard but is just a mediocre player, as is Rankin, Hunt and I'd like to think MCK is better but I'm putting him there too. The jury is out on the younger guys but let's be honest they showed zip.

And finally, I think it's time we seriously started looking for a 7 for the future. The little Storm 7 made Brooks look like a schoolboy, Brooks has zero!!!!!!!!! and it's time for the Tigers to realise it and not let it drag on like they did with Benji waiting for him to come good.
 
From what i saw we looked like a side just going through the motions and doing everything to avoid any injuries. One out running and surrendering in the tackle. No oomph in defence, no one stretching out with ball in hand. If a few more teams start doing this the 9s format will be in jeopardy.
 
What we learnt from the 2 games….

JLJ is slow and not FG standard, the same applies to Rankin.

CheeKam is a NSW cup player

The WT didn't take this tournament seriously as they stated

I wish I could convince myself that's true but I just can't, that was us actually trying, we're just that bad it looks like we're not.
 
I don't blame people for being annoyed after that effort, i was too, it was pretty pathetic. But it's stupid to think that the effort put in (or lack thereof) is a snapshot of what's to come for the season. Rightly or wrongly Taylor made it clear this weekend was not important. And it showed in the squad we picked and the way we played one out, going through the motions. 90% of our squad are off contract as well as the coach, it's safe to assume that no one will be coasting this year. 9's isn't a gauge of form. Would be like judging a test cricket player on their 20/20 form. The only guide worth anything are trials, and even they aren't a true reflection. So while we're disappointed with the attitude, let's not get carried away by reading more into it than it warrants.
 
The same reserve graders putting in there normal performances today .. I agree with a previous poster the club has to not play games with Brooks tell him to look else where after this season this will be apparent as the season progress.

Lets just forfeit tomorrow to really prove we don't care

Maybe just play home games in 2017 , forfeit the away games

Who cares , our club sure as hell doesn't , if I was WT's supporter and had tickets proving I'd been to the 9's I ask for a refund

Disgraceful ,disgusting , typical , tell me how anything has changed since day dot
