I am not a huge fans of the nines but I thought he would least play with some purpose and energy.

Round 1 things will look a lot different. I would much rater win in Round 1 against Souths.

However what is for certain is there were a lot of bog average players out there today. They wont turn into first graders in a month. Lets hope not many of them are there in Round 1.

Disappointing for sure. Where was the fullback for The Knights first try? There was another long kick in the Melbourne game that they would have scored from if it didn't go into touch cos the fullback was nowhere to be seen again.

Disappointing for sure. Where was the fullback for The Knights first try? There was another long kick in the Melbourne game that they would have scored from if it didn't go into touch cos the fullback was nowhere to be seen again.

I got a call during the week from Daniel in the membership dept about renewing after not being a member last year. I was intending on becoming a member again and the call confirmed to me the club was heading in the right direction again and warranted my support.
Then we play footy again….......

It's so frustrating

Its not even the ability of the players that concerns me. Its the attitude of the organisation i think. There just seems to be a lethargic manner about the place at times. By all means play your 2nd tier players, but have a damn go! Dont condition the players on hand to a "meh" attitude becaiae thats what youll get in return. Its embarrassing to be a fan at times.

Sirro thrives in this sort of half-arsed stuff. Let's see how he goes in a few weeks when the real comp begins and effort upon effort is required. Nothing will have changed you can bet on it.

Hope you're right but wont be surprised if he comes good

I don't understand what people are so upset about. If JT had of come out and said that we believe in the 9s as a bona fide tournament and will be doing everything in our powers to win it - then yes i would be peeved at the total lack of committment. But when he came out and said that they haven't trained for it, have no desire to win it and are more focused on the real comp - i for one am quite happy they just went through the motions.

Hope you are enjoying mediocrity it seems that all JT and the club will accept

You back up to give cover defenders time to get there. He backed up and then got beaten all end up. I am not sure that he actually made any contact with the ball carrier.

He didn't make contact. I'd prefer if he committed to one guy and hit him.

I think Sironin is the sort of player that needs the coaching staff to rev him up,
before he plays. Coaches like Bellamy, Toovey, Flannigan ect. We even saw Brad Arthur showing some passion today for a 9s game. Some players need that sort of coach.
The messages coming from the WTs don't seem to inspire every player and if the chemistry isn't working then a change can do the world of good.

Why send our best to possibly get injured?
It's two days of glorified touch football compared to 26 rounds of football. I don't take it seriously as a spectator. It's the party tonight is the real reason blokes have a good time over there.

If we are hopeless because of what happened today so are
Sharks
Bulldogs
Souths
Dragons
Warriors
Raiders - who despite winning oen easy game against Souths got flogged in their only real challenge and have a worse F/A

In fact look at the teams that failed to make the finals last year '
Sharks - who did Ok in the NRL
Broncos
Bulldogs
Panthers

Yet the Eels beat the Warriors in the final - we beat both teams in the NRL

Just be happy we have no injuries that is all that is important about the 9s
