LIVE 9's Thread*

Newie played poorly and still got the W
Aweful effort.
Sick of losing to Newcastle. We are their bunnies in all forms of the game lol…

Nothing has changed Rankin and Kevie are still reserve grade players but undoubtedly will be the first chosen each week.

we dont even seem to have one set move. you could tell newie has been practising those short side plays and pulled them off to perfection. we just run around like headless chooks the whole 18 mins.

Was not overly impressed with Masters. Seemed to want to just run around in circles. No kicking game from the 2nd string halves.

I know this is only the 9s but gee we are ordinary looking. If youre not going to risk your name players it would be nice to see some speed at least.

He was getting it one off the ruck wverytime with no momentum, hard for him to do anything.

Would have had a try assist if kev could catch

Rankin cannot justify a first grade position on that effort. The match showed how much a waste of airfares and hotel accommodation expenses it was to send a team (?) over to Auckland. If anything the match showed how many (and there were quite a few) WT players are off first grade pace only weeks before the NRL season kicks off.

Nah as crap as we were the nbn is definitely worse…

Besides, maybe there's some sort of reverse psychology to flying all the way to New Zealand to have a humiliating start to the season for everyone involved in the Tigers brand...

Maybe the club is trying to save money and the cheap flights leave early afternoon tomorrow. Melbourne and Broncos to come, could be a long weekend.

Organisation in both attack and defence looked woeful.Only positive was Taylor looks bigger and stronger ths yr,and was almost always a threat in attack.A level above our reserve halves.
If things aren't looking so great in the halves defensively and/or one signs elsewhere, dont be surprised to see him play a Bryce Cartwright role in no 6…lacks outrite pace, but still he offers a lot of creative an solid defence.

You do know that Melbourne and Brisbane are average in this format yeah?

The pretenders were on show again today and this includes the coach …the amount of reserve graders this club carrier is alarming .Good to see the new found commitment to D was on show NOT...nothing ever changes .
