Watching warriors v dragons. Both having a go and looking much better than yesterday. Both with nothing to play for other than pride in their jersey.

Can't understand the anger from many people about the effort or results, seriously would people still be talking the same if one of our star players got a season ending injury if they put in the supposed effort that many here were looking for? The 9's should be scrapped, don't see the need for it besides a little weekend of fun for fans and players. Goes to show that some of us have been missing the footy more than others.

Game 1 more errors than any other Club, dropped balls, dumb mistakes. Game 2 we are playing 9s and we had ONE offload the entire game.

Every time someone puts a Tigers shirt on I want effort, is that really too much to ask. As for the way we played, wow, tuck it under the arm and go forward, the most over coached side in NZ all weekend. FFS let them play football. Going to be another long season.

Youre more likely to get hurt or injured going in half hearted.

Yes tigerlogic, Parra Brisbane and NQ looked really tired
Youre so far off the mark its not funny

Firstly ink, I never mentioned those teams that you did, my comments have not been about them, you might notice the higher caliber team they chose to take in order to win the 9s??

Secondly, I have a masters degree in SnC so don't tell me I'm off the mark, what I said is 100% correct thanks, but you're argument of it's not affecting other teams is stupid, they have clearly chosen a squad to be competitive, and that goes a long way.. you also don't know how much emphasis they have placed on the 9s, the more time they spent in preparation for the 9s the lesser volume of training they would have had the past two weeks..
The premiers looked s***, so did the dogs and the raiders, all of which will likely make the top 8\. Just goes to show, different clubs place a different value on this weekend, and our coach openly said we were not placing a high value on it

Penrith have taken a team of kids who are showing what having a real go can get you

Higher caliber LOL

Are we training differently in pre season to the rest of the clubs?

Oh dear

So what happens if we come out the next two weeks we win both trials? What happens if we win round 1? I get the disappointment over them not having a go, but to think this somehow is related to how we're going to go this season :brick:

Simple answer to that is, if we see a marked improvement attitude wise in the trials then confidence will start to grow. At this point in time the attitude towards the nines is all we have to go off and its not the attitude we were hoping for.

I think your last sentence has summed it up. Not just for Tigers fans but for all fans of RL. The Aussie cricket team is now O/S and many people have been itching to see some footy.
If the WTs don't give a stuff about the 9s comp and we aren't going to try so we don't get injured could we not have an orange, white or black on the jerseys? So people can't recognise us us the WTs? May we could have Blue jerseys, so when people have laughing at a team that doesn't want to be there they think it's the Bulldogs or Parra.
Alternatively, we could send an assistant coach who has a different attitude towards the comp and some players that are keen to get something out of the weekend.

I am one of those fans that have been missing the footy and was excited by seeing the WTs jersey out on the field for the first time in 2017.

At the moment the attitude is exactly the attitude they showed at LO against the raiders in their last game.Diabolical

We'll still have thrown the 9s comp
I don't think this has a massive impact on our reg season performance - I fear we'll be crap in the NRL independently of today.

It's not about results, winning or losing.
It's about effort application and attitude…. You get that right the results begin to look after themselves.
Halatau talk about culture but I haven't seen a good culture yesterday
