Why not give Zac Cini, Kane Bradley Jock Madden & Jake Simpkin their debuts they are in our squad next year so give them an opportunity to gain some NRL experience before next year we have nothing to lose.

Why. Just play the old guys so no one contracted next year gets injured

I’d play our worst team we’ve got ?

Now that’s a selection headache

?????

Bellamy not 100% on Harry coming back, but 'more likely than not' when questioned about it. Mentioned waiting for Cam Smith's decision.

Very interesting, I mean I totally thought it was 100% he'll be back, but if Bellamy isn't 100% confident... there is at least 1% chance.

Two observations form tonight. Ours halfs are utter garbage. Can't execute a game plan. Cannot build pressure with kicks. 2. We have second rowers playing as props. We just don't have the size.

Other than other club supporters, who's laughing at us @Tcat?
Realistically our team is probably similar to Manly and Dogs and I think they've done as best as they possibly could.

And don't get me started on the journos.
What irks me most is we've never received the wooden spoon and are still digging our way out of hole and also suffered from injury disruptions, yet there's no acknowledgement of that. I get that we're trying our darnedest to get to the next level but them idiots are similar to some fans and expect instant results.
Ivan really did a number on us and it's going to take time but to constantly crap(media) on our mishmash of a team whilst ignoring this fact is ridiculous.
Other than Kenty (on the earlier eps of NRL360), I'm yet to hear anyone say actually state any of this.

And on JAC - as per the info already on this forum, they're wanting something but we're not giving it, if it doesn't get sorted this coming week it will be held off till end of season.

the lifting of BJ was an interesting moment. The commentators were suggesting that the referees have unofficially changed their interpretation of that rule of late. I'm not sure what incidents they are talking about.

Does anyone remember when they brought the lifting = held stuff in? From memory, it was after an incident when we were playing the warriors. They picked up forum favourite Fitzhenry and marched him back 20m before dropping him hard. I think he broke his collar bone or similar. Sheens was furious in the press conference. Is my memory right?

That is my recollection. The Fitzhenry rule.

Agree on the halves, but have to ask if we even have a game plan.

Feels like we hope to throw the ball around or kick early in the hope to get some flukey tries, and if it doesn’t come off we can’t defend our line.

The Benji plan

It's going to be a tough week against Parra if Josh A and Nofo are out - that's most of our metres gone. If Sam McIntyre fails protocols it will be even worse.

Hopefully Mbye will be at fullback and AD back to the centres. No idea who'd play 2 if Nofo is out but he looked pretty damaged. I guess Packer or Musgrove would start for Josh and maybe ET back for a swansong if Sam's out. Nothing would please me more than to beat the Eels at Bankwest but we'll be doing it the hard way.

Who really cares at this stage - We are al hoping the season to be over very dismal year again and worse than last year.
hate to think if we did not have a loan player where we would be on the table....

We need to win next week & hop the Knights hammer the Titans.

That way we will finish 9th.

I honestly think that the TITANS deserve to finish in front of us this season. We have under achieved again although the roster is not great we have some dud players not giving 50% and a coach that talks the talk about D but can't put the structures on place to have players Aim up. We are such a soft team.

Really embarrassed this season how we have gone considering we also have a loan player to prop up our performances.

That game shone a light on some big deficiencies in our squad - apart from most of our forwards, which have been obviously lacking nearly all season.
We also need a fullback, at least one centre, a winger and a 5/8. Thats hoping that Brooks lifts his game.

Yes the rule was changed after that.there may have been other incidents but that one sticks in my mind

Now we know why Lawrence is retiring take the tackle

AJ was entitled to take that pass. Taking the tackle and the moment would have passed.

The Storm have a very cosy set up on the Sunshine Coast -seem to have a lot of games up there- hence their unbeaten record . Resort facilities ,great climate ,largely home crowd ensures preparation always spot on. Not down on our team at all The loss of Brooks and Mbye causes more disruption to us than the Storm losing one or two with their depth. Can't see Storm winning this year with that defence.
