Few blokes disappointed tonight

Nofoaluma / Godinet / Chee Kam

Chee Kam can be just pure lazy , the 3rd try is directly his fault as he can't even show enough effort to reach the next defender from marker so they can slide

Refs need to take their fair share of the blame , it was clearly two different rules for two different sides

And to management , lets take games where we are clearly still going to get home advantage crowd support

Obviously we need experienced players to close games out , lot of experience missing tonight with Rowdy ,Packer , Grub injured and ET sitting in the HIA

Take into consideration the Knights left 10 points out there were underwhelming goal kicking and the loss is far worse than the scoreboard says

Correct 5 tries to 3 says it all the score flattered us

What happened to Liddle. Passed Hia. Had the interchange card ready with 30 secs left in first half. And never sighted again.

I thought he would have played the last 20mins for sure. But nowhere to be seen.

Newcastle played with lots of energy, there play the ball were quick and they would have been stiff to get beaten. On the other hand we lacked energy and our play the balls were slow.

Everyone needs to lay off Brooks for that last tackle option.

In all actuality that is a high percentage last play option at that time of the game. He died with the ball with them having to go 95 metres to score.

The issue was Godinet in SKD's play the ball. Without that penalty everyone praises Brooks for the smart play.

Great Cleary, keep playing Godinet and especially that Zelezniak who never gets dropped no matter how bad he plays and we will end up being wooden spooner contenders again. do we pick players in form? i don't think so. nothing much has changed as there are still favourites.

Here we go!!!! Only takes one defeat apparently.

Who are the new whipping boys or are they still the old ones.

The bubble has burst, 52 missed tackles WTF?!

Newcastle played up tempo and at the advantage line with support and were putting heaps of pressure on us around the ruck especially in the first half, making easy yards.
We did well to hang in imo.

The reality is we are still the old wests tigers…we have only beaten sides that have been a bit scratchy...beaten two teams that are clearly divided....first commited team we come up against and we were made to look very ordinary, as long as cleary puts up with hacks like nofoluma and kev in our bacline....we will never be a true force

Need a fullback.

Need a better 14

What's wrong with the fullback?

One of the best tonight, and all year for that matter.

Great player and should be part of the 13 but he just doesnt add enough creativity like other fullbacks in the comp.

Its missed and puts too much pressure on the halves.

We were due for one of these performances unfortunately. Knights were never going to be a pushover and played with more energy than we did. Having said that, we were never at our best and still should have come away with the win.

Stats among for the forwards show Matulino the only Tigers forward to make more than 100 metres in attack, so our engine room did struggle tonight. Losing Liddle hurt us.

Geez after 7 weeks we've lost 2 games by a combined 3 points and people want to sack the coach and boot half the team. We weren't good enough tonight - it happens. Newcastle aren't the duds they've been in past years. Some changes maybe but you can only make changes that strengthen the team. No Packer, Lawrence, Reynolds, HIAs galore. It was a tough night. We've got a nice break leading into next round so that will be the test to rebound.

I cannot t believe, after one loss, posters are being critical of Cleary. We were poor tonight but previous to this we have been good 6 weeks in a row. Think before you post!! Cleary is turning this club around.
In reality, we missed Packer, Lawrence, Taylor, Liddle tonight. We did not control the ruck. We will be better next week.

ho not just one game, zelezniak does something stupid at least every game. do you ever see him jump for a ball? he is useless and should not be in FG. as for Dodinet he would not make FG in any other team except ours.

He did the same a couple of weeks ago and everyone supported what he did v Melbourne

When you lose the ruck and the penalty count , your halves won't look pretty

Brooks was pretty good still , a lack of players supporting ball runners was costly , Huth runs 20 odd metres to a one on one with a bloke 20 kgs less and we can't find one player backing up , Huth could of physically taken on Ponga and then offloaded if anyone had been within cooee of him
