Live game thread round 4

Anyone who strikes the ball high with a curve is never consistent. The consistent kickers have a lower trajectory. The high curve never works.

Respectfully I disagree, it works perfectly well for Nathan Cleary.

Too angry/disappointed/peed off to post earlier.

Madge needs to try again and buy a halves coach. Daley wasn't allowed, so find someone else. This can't be allowed to continue, NRL will be laughing all the way as we get shafted to Perth.

I dont think Nathan's go as high and as floaty as Marsters. But yes, his do go high for a consistent kicker.

Felt like that last week, but you'll be back around wed-Thur next week sniffing around for who's lining up for the team! As predictable as our team is in tight situations, so is it's long term supporters.
60yrs = balls of steel!

Brings back memories. That was depressing as.. They’re on par for me and both worthy of speechlessness.

At least it was good to get that performance early in the season, showing us what they're really made of so we don't get ahead of ourselves and get our hopes up.

As soon as it goes into Golden Point I'm already resigned to losing the game. It seems our team is as well. It's happened too many times that it's become ingrained in our collective psyche.

I really think brooks is our problem and always has been. He is good as a front runner but is terrible at controlling the game and really quite poor in the clutch. Cleary is younger with less experienced and better almost across the park.

But that's the problem, that slight hope lingers and you think maybe we can still do this. just maybe, for once… then BAM, shattered, and you're left angry that you let yourself hope knowing it would make the fall greater.

Tonight was the pits, we scored 2 tries to one, and missed goal kicks, penalty kicks and field goals all in front, yet the other team nails a sideline conversion after the bell, and a 40m field goal in golden point, we could only dream of doing that

My 9 year old daughter's school class has an NRL tipping comp as part of their maths learning. The kid with the most wins after so many weeks wins a prize. She always tips Wests Tigers to win. I think she thinks, because dad follows them they must be good. After tonights effort, I think I'll set her straight on her tipping.

Wasn't able to watch the game, checked the scoreline this morning and was disappointed…....even more so reading this thread, they were handing us the game in the last 10 minutes.

Also, we need a goal kicker.

ŃBrooks does have the ability, but I’ve thought for a long time that he doesn’t have the mongrel in him that first grade requires.
He’s really never really had to be made responsible for his many games where he simply has no impact.
I can recall way back saying that both him and Moses needed to be dropped to reserves, but, no matter how bad he played, there was no consequences, he’s still there next week, ,
I wondered last season how he was the halfback of the year, , but hoped that he would be pushed to being a better player by getting that award, but nothing’s changed.

He’s never had to be able to turn up week after week,
It’s always been a big game one week and then three or four where heslooks like he’s phoning it in.
Not much changes.

In defence of Luke Brooks, I think probably his mind wasn’t in it.On channel 9 before match they
said he's grandma pass away couple days ago. They said she steal been at Cambo last Sunday to watch us play Dogs.
