**live game thread** Us vs the Roosters

@851 - They also came up with some great plays. I thought Benji was easily the best player on the field. They were pretty good.

@pawsandclaws1 we’ve been in that situation multiple times before... wonder how those times ended up planning out... oh wait a try because none of our inside men can contest a ball in the air and catch it. He made no mistake and coming in to catch it, the mistake he made was dropping it and I’ll say I’m wrong in saying he made no mistakes.

@851 If Benji plays next year then we are doomed for another year of mediocrity.

Though, I don't believe if he retires that we will get anyone better, so we'll probably have another year of mediocrity anyway.

How’s jennings, we can’t keep playing momirovski on the wing...

Can’t keep playing Jennings either. I haven’t seen him break a tackle yet.

@TigersBusDriver he can’t even remember what he posted two pages back, wouldn’t bother trying to hold conversation let alone a passionate debate regarding whether or not, without saying they had a direct impact on the result, the refs showed their Red, white and blue colours tonight when the 50/50 calls went up in the air - as evidence CLEARLY by the fact that they randomly did not review the first (or second try) for chooks when there’s a fair dinkum argument several of their players had been offside. Again, not speaking on whether it impacted the result directly or whether we have in fact benefited from similar decisions this year.

We’re all up in arms because old mate cork eyes Henry had no intention of making a contest, si?

@The_Patriot
Great response mate in pushing your own agenda, my comment was nothing to do with Farah specifically just an observation on where I saw the momentum change.

I for the life of me can’t see how you think that, yeh he got try assists for both sides.
Matto was our best, easily, but everyone has a different opinion, ours are poles apart

Benji did some great little kicks to get us some drop outs. He just tires and misses tackles.
And he's possibly the best half we have at times, though I wish we had better.

It's like he's the king because he's got one eye in the land of the blind.

As Walters says, we lost it from the kick off.

Didn't go far enough..

@Madge No that is not how viewed it and Gould and other members of the commentary team saw it that way. Really, for a winger he needs to be yards faster and deadly reliable in defence and under the high ball. Unfortunately he is not and as soon as Bradley is ready, he should be in CC improving his game.

Matto was far from our best. He was good but he made some mistakes as well. Benji really shone out there today. Geez he was good.

The two referee system is broken. They have different interpretations of the rules. Depending who is lead and who is the pocket will determine how the ruling goes. It’s inconsistent to the extreme.

@pawsandclaws1 Nofoaluma is very good under the high ball, he was peppered the last couple of weeks with end to end kicks aswell was being pressured and caught them all successfully. If you are going to drop a winger it’s jennings. Even though jennings is also very good under the high ball, he’s useless in attack.

I'm still perplexed as to why not one of the commentary team spotted jwh being offside for their second try. They're usually all over the intricacies of important plays to the point of it being nauseous. I guess they're just all a bit gushy over the glamour team. Vomit.

I laughed when the commentator on FOX said his try scoring has dropped off a little from last year, he got 18 last year, it has fallen off a cliff

I can remember what i said. I said Luke Brooks needs to step up for us to win the game.

But hey lets just blame the ref. . . .

@Earl agree he was all heart and effort. And people want him to retire on this form.
Really think we are couple of gun players off a great side here.
