get off your high horse mate, livo is the best suburb in the country. the only place that comes close to it is probably bankstown- #2170repz

haha … i'm from Bankstown, so my high horse isn't really that high.

I am a Liverpool boy. Wish we could compare our situations.

I am also a Liverpool guy. Nice to see us represented in the WT family.

I agree, I don't see WT members travelling an hour to watch their team.

Are you saying there are no supporters and members in Liverpool?

10 mins down the road for me…I'm there,,,then again I'd go to Antarctica to watch us play....good parking...

The main point is we need a state of the art training facility...if this is built WESTS Tigers should be there at the ribbon cutting...

No way, there would be plenty. But at least half the supporter base aren't from there

Not that i think that we need to play inside our catchment area, but wouldn't some suburbs in the Liverpool council be In the wests catchment?

Could you pick one council area that the majority of our fans are from?

If the inner-west amalgamation goes through that will definitely be the council area that holds the majority of WT fans. I believe Leichhardt/Ashfield area is the stronghold.

I hope the Liverpool development gets a green light. This would be a fantastic opportunity for Wests Tigers to train and potentially play out of a state of the art stadium.

Last time i looked though, Livo was Wests Tigers territory. Supporters of teams are all over the shop these days. Its no longer a tribal game.

Well 2/3 of the 'heartlands' are from the inner west so the majority would be from there (for what ever reason, crowd figures show that with ANZ having our biggest crowds).

In saying that it would be unfair to neglect the Campbeltown/Liverpool area. Besides it would only benefit the club if we continued having a presence out west.

That's why i think we need to find a middle ground for west and inner-west or play half/half.

My preference would be be based at and train out in the Liverpool/Campbeltown area and to play 10 games out of ANZ with one heritage game at Campbeltown and another at Leichardt. But that's just my opinion.

No, I am saying that even Liverpool WT members won't travel an hour to a game. That statement comes from reading many posts on this forum over the years. I am not sure if it is just the travel, the parking, the ground seating, the amenities or something else entirely.

The WT's geography covers the inner west all the way to the far south west of Sydney but we struggle to fill stadiums no matter where we play. Who cares if it the cowboys, raiders or someone else? If all our members and supporters turned up they all couldn't get in.

I completely disagree with your statement. Look at the Manly-Parra game tonight and their rivalry. Even our very own rivalry with Manly. East Vs West. Seems pretty tribal to me..

Why don't Manly leave the old, worn down Brookvale and move an hour across town to play out of ANZ or even SFS ?

I'm not against playing out of Livo, we have to cater for one part of our supporter base. I just don't think it's fair to completely ignore over 50% of our supporter base and pretty much relocate completely. Either 50/50 or somewhere in the middle.

Personally I have never ever been to Liverpool in my 21 years of existence. I would struggle to exert the same amount of passion for a club that completely removes itself from my local area. I grew up following the wests tigers because they were based just down the road from me and thus were my local team. I'd imagine you yourself GNR only follow the tigers because wests was your local team ?

The funny thing is GNR, you're usually one of the forumers complaining about the tigers neglecting the Campbeltown area and now you want them to do the exact same to the inner west just to suit you.

I'm all for the wests tigers moving forward and becoming their own franchise but surely there is a fairer way of going about it.

livo is kinda middle of balmain and campbo? 20 mins from campbo and 35 from balmain (depending traffic)… compare that to how far concord is from mcarthur?

It's not as if these poor Professional footballers can't do a bit of travelling for training's ?

Give me a break, not as if they have it hard .

Clearly we have to work out where the majority of our fans live before we decide where to play. The club obviously would have info about the members but maybe doing a postcode check at games or online polls need to be done.
