Lodge arrested

Like everyone else i have no idea if any of what he has been charged with is a fact but if it is proven he should be punted.Domestic violence is never acceptable.

Should be punted anyway. This guy is a trouble magnet.

And to be honest, i dont see what others see. Good luck to him elseehere.

I'm sick of all these second and third chances. To be an NRL player should be an honour. I'd rather be a full time sportsman then a 9-5 worker.

Why is there some sort of perception out there that is NRL or nothing. Sack, lifetime ban, move on. Earn a living elsewhere I say no matter how good you are

How is The Lodge case any different to SKD from the Roosters… Don't hear their fans calling for his head ?

Because he's an international who adds a lot to his team. Lodge is an overhyped kid who has only ever made headlines by being a tool off the field.

We got this bloke in return for Korobiete.
They can't legally sack him however, too much trouble and pattern of behaviour is terrible.
If there is any evidence os even the smallest breach he should be sacked prior to trial.

Seems like he has got the sack already, instagram bio is now WestSydney. I am almost 100% sure it was Wests Tigers not long ago.

It's an interesting point, plus I always felt the NRL basically supported SKD without publicly stating it.

I note that there is not much to suggest he has belted the girl (presumably ex girlfriend), but more he has belted the bloke with her. The charges outside of assault look more like the traditional extras thrown in by police to get their charge records higher.

Eitherway, it will be interesting where this ends up, as it all seems like his last 3 indiscretions have come fairly close together.

Off to the Sharks next year?

Well done Alexaki! I do often wonder why in the main on this forum we are so quick to criticise our players (22 year old Lovett in his first year in the NRL being an obvious example).

I think we all need to demonstrate some understanding towards both parties in this issue. There are no winners and one may well be facing very serious consequences.

Who cares if another club picks him up?

This is the 'if i can't have you no one can' mentality.
Its our choice, we either rehab him and he comes good or let another club try to, and if they do and he comes good good luck to them. If we decide we don't want to put the effort into him and another team does, we can't go crying about it when that player turns himself around and that club benefits from it. The ball is in our court.
Just like any other player, if they're not with us, they're against us.

Sometimes part up the rehab needs to be sacking the player so he learns not to take playing in the nrl for granted. If he learns that, his next club gets the rewards.

We ain't got the time for this crap. Sack him and give someone else a go. Obviously hasn't not enough between the ears….i don't care how much talent he has....just a negative distraction
