Lote Tuqiri thread

Chipoff t o b would be pretty close to the mark would be my guess…purely PR in order to assist in securing sponsorship....this is Jamie Lyon all over again.

good point Troy…...makes me think though that these 700K yawnion offers may not exsist.....cause it's a no brainer for me too....

behind doors in front makes no difference......Perhaps Lote just wants to inflate his price or get his name in the paper....

Lets not get too excited just yet, it would appear that he has not spoked to anyone from Tasmania about a Rugby deal yet or details of that meeting have not been published.
 
& lets face it muffstar, as soon as he speaks to anyone he publishes it immediately so I'm assuming Tassy RU are still on the 'to do' list.

i think the difference is 700k to go overseas, while 250k (salary) might not be enough.. if elias conjures up maybe 100k or 150k in third party deals, all of a sudden its 700v350/400

He's been on plenty of money, probably has some good investments.. so moving to france for an extra 300k might not be what he wants to do.

Its not like nrl players when they realise there body is going to the shit so they need to make some money quick as they have only been on 400k there life.. This guy was on 1mill a year (plus probably endorsements and shit who knows!!)

No Offence taken. However when you are jetsetting around world selling yourself to the highest bidder, we as a club, are never going to be in hunt.
Good luck to Lote, hope he gets the contract that he wants and if he does decide that playing with us would be more attractive, then i would be happy also.
Just have a gut feeling, that we as club just milked him for the PR.
 
What happened the last time Lote was looking for a contract? Thats right, the same thing. He just pawns himself around to get in the papers. I dont want the guy here. Im excited about the young talent we have at the club and dont want a big head standing in there way.
 
One big fear i have with signing Lote is it could see Moltzen or Arana moved to right centre for Ayshford. I rate Moltzen, but i dont think he's a centre at all.
 
Lote is on match day saturday today at 430 pm as a special guest on fox sports forget which one but he may let something slip in chatting.
For those that dont know match day saturday is the football (soccer) show for the A-League/Premier League
 
With WT like all other NRL clubs, information leaks like a Siv.

With other rumoured signings, (Lima Cayless etc) there was leaked word from different people at the club that we were in strong negotiations with those players etc and that word filtered through albeit unofficially from the club itself.

With the Lote speculation, no reliable word has come from anyone what so ever that we are in official negotiations with him. Even people that I know well have not heard one offical thing that proper negotiations are underway.

A few weeks ago Benny Elias stated that he was negotiating with a 3rd party to fund the deal but no word has ever come from the club about this and apart from WT wanting to know if Lote wanted to play NRL again that is as far as things look to have gone.

If negotiations are progressed with Lote, I take my hat off to the WT because they are doing well to keep a lid on this one.

Spend the money somewhere else.

Tigers are no longer a retirement village. Need to ensure Galloway develpes and is retained as well as a big partner for him.

You claim you knew about Lima, yet I was the one who put a thread up about it.

You later claimed you'd heard the issue was whether Storm would pay any of his contract…yet that was only after someone else posted about that being said on Triple MMM.

If you had this information, why didn't you say something about it?

last time is saw him he looked unfit and too slow.

If a 3rd party wants to cover the tab then yipee!

Just give us a couple of props.
