I am a big Lui fan but he was very poor tonight. That is now three poor games in a row - I would consider giving Miller a run.

@Montague Street said:Lui's a half-back. He can't be expected to tackle like a back-rower. In the first half he tackled okay. The fault is with the forwards whose job it is to prevent him being a target for rampaging opposition players.

@Muffstar said:Lui can't tackle and refuses to run with the ball and we all know that he won't be dropped. Even if this did happen how did Miller go tonight ?
@Golden said:Soward can't tackle either but he has Beau Scott to protect him, maybe we need this and hide them

He kicked ok a few times but every good kick didn't come off his boot - the first good kick was put through by Ayshford.
What's that got do do with him being a useless defender?
@Montague Street said:This thread is about whether Lui can tackle not an overall assessment of him as a player.
Watch the replay. Lui tackled well to begin with but as the game wore on and he was repeatedly targeted his inability to tackle one-on-one was highlighted. The forwards next to him in the defensive line should have stopped that.
**Lui is no worse than any other NRL half in one-on-one.**
