I still think he is more likely to stay than go. The only club I see him fitting at is the Dogs. How much did we resign that stud Doueihi for it was upwards of $600k?
If that is the case that is the only way i could see Brooks having sour grapes over our offer, unless of course he does have a mystery suitor. He is def worth a touch more than Doueihi but Doueihi isn't worth over $600 in fact no where near it imo.
LOL yep....maybe itll be easier to kidnap their children and force them to sign on.Hopefully we get lucky again and a halfback comes out of the woodwork. 🤞
He will need to bash his Mrs to pique their interest. 🤣Cowboys claiming they're not interested in Brooks.
No .you are the smartest forumer on hereIn my experience -
'Average" outside backs aren't the first picked in a winning Origin side...
Maybe I'm wrong - I doubt it though...
TRusT ThE PrOcEss bro.If Brooks goes we need two or three new halves for next year given Douhie won’t be much use to us.
I am indifferent whether he goes or stays (at the right price), although we probably need him for next year.
However, if Brooks goes, and given the lack of halves seemingly on the market, I wouldn’t be surprised if this time next year we are (still) languishing at the bottom of the ladder and we wished we still had him.
It’s almost inconceivable that after all these years when we finally have the chance to let Brooks walk we have absolutely no replacement plan. Although, we won’t be able to judge whether Brooks was adequately replaced until just before the season kicks off next year once all the player movements have taken place.
Because they have a 2023 season to complete with Townsend.
who is SL ? Dodd ? need better than SezerWith $1.4 million to spend (based on the Moses offer) I think we have to grab a super league halfback. There’s not much here in Aus.
I know he’s old now but we need an experienced organising half like Ben Hunt. Can also kick and pass like no other half since Prince left us. He hasn’t committed to staying at the Dragons yet. Always rated him although has that inconsistency tag. But he’s been on fire these last few years. With $1.4 million to spend (based on the Moses offer) I think we have to grab a super league halfback. Couldn’t be worse than Brooks 🤷♀️who are we getting then, clune ? Hutchinson? don't think we get an established 7
clune it is
we will see what life is like without Brooks for 6 weeks much like the end of the year last year and we know how that turned out...Couldn’t be worse than Brooks 🤷♀️
About the same as the start of this year.we will see what life is like without Brooks for 6 weeks much like the end of the year last year and we know how that turned out...
Disregard. Just read that Titans are offering him 900k to return to Qld. Apparently the Bulldogs want him too. So no chance he comes here ffsI know he’s old now but we need an experienced organising half like Ben Hunt. Can also kick and pass like no other half since Prince left us. I’d go to $1.2m for him.Disregard. Just read that Titans are offering him 900k to return to Qld. Apparently the Bulldogs want him too. So no chance he comes here ffs
Have you seen the Tweedledum and Tweedledee running this joint.? It'll all make sense. If Brooks goes we need two or three new halves for next year given Douhie won’t be much use to us.

Correct the Dragons would have to let him go. But he was close with Anthony Griffin and did hint he would look to go elsewhere if another coach came in.Ben Hunt is contracted to the end of 25 with the Dragons. Unless he has a get out clause in his contract, he won't be leaving. I don't believe Ben Hunt is the type to skip out on his contractual obligations.
Similar to Brooks but in the current SOO and Australian team. 🤣I’d be happy enough if we got him. He’s similar to Brooks but with more authority, and (lately) a similar record of getting his team to the finals.
