Patience is the order of the day they are kids and still built that way.

When you see them sitting there you see very young men … The club has made the choice and there could be some very good times ahead , I thought it interesting that both were interviewed it is unusual ,there certainly is a bond with these fellas and Moses referring to Lovett as well .Is this the group of young men that will bring home the trophy?

Well said Snake we need to be patient with these kids…It's difficult... and I have been guilty in judging them too soon.... 2017 will be their year to shine

I reckon you will see a vast difference in the whole team in 2016,with a very good offseason and learning the structures, they will have a winning attitude and culture right from the start next year…they are staying positive during a lacklustre year and that tells me that they have a whole lot of intestinal fortitude and confidence......

Brooks looks like a dear in the headlights in the media. Looks nervous and anxious.

Where as Moses seems like a real confident, bullish, leader.

He would be the bloke really prepare to bark orders and demand the ball.

Have to say i prefer that and your starting to see that on the field.

Brooks has always been a lazy talker, With a fair old mouth full of teeth…
Moses is and always has been the more confident of the 2 and the better talker.

We have a bunch of Freud's on this forum. Thank u for your physico analysis… The blokes got a fear of public speaking.. big deal. Like to see u lot present on live tv and see if u get nervous. Try to think before typing.

Luke is not a big talker cause of his teeth…that'll do me...

Well said LT. Proud of the fact that these 2 young fellas seem like respectful blokes who if they do have an ego don't show it too much, unlike deadbeets like Blake Ferguson when he was younger. Wish our 2 young guns all the best in their career, fingers crossed them, Teddy, Sirro, Cherrington and the other pups in our team can stay together long enough to give a premiership a helluva shake.

I remember JT when he first came to the dogs was terrible when he was interviewed, like most footballer it takes time and plenty of exposure before you are at ease in front of a camera. Moses will have no problems he is a very confident kid, Brooks will take some time but in a few years will handle it with ease

Who cares if they were nervous? They're 20 and probably a bit sheepish to be asked about a year where their team underperformed.

That said, I was impressed with what they actually said.
- both know each others games inside and out
- love playing together and are genuine friends
- both a bit in awe of Tedster
- said that WT is a tight club.
- enjoy being a central part of the young guns
- both respectful of their elders, especially Robbie
- both love the game and the club
- enjoy the challenges presented in defence
- confident in their skill sets
- gave respect to their forwards
- believe in Taylor
- are enjoying his structure now it's been tweaked.

Well done boys. Just what I wanted to hear. Didn't try to be media clowns, spoke from the heart and were honest.

Fittler was the worst I've ever seen when he was a youngster. Could barely make eye contact. Seems pretty comfortable these days.

Agreed Stryker, I just watched a replay of the interview and found them both young men were impressive and held their own speaking to Sterlo giving good answers and getting into the spirit of the interview, a credit to themselves, their families and the club. Of the points listed two aprticularly stuck out for me, one was their mateship and the other the fact that JT has loosened up the structure a bit to allow them to attack more.

As long as they are confident to talk when it matters, i.e. on the field. I'm sure all the media work will come naturally with experience.

That said I had to have a bit of a laugh at the members day a few weeks ago. Brooksy was up on stage talking to the crowd & must have forgotten to plug the new marvel jerseys. The MC prompted him to mention them before going off to sign autographs & he just said something like "oh yeh & those new jerseys are great, make sure you buy one". It's not just about playing footy anymore!

That's true Greato but I'm not sure how the sales of the jerseys went overall, didn't notice too many being worn at Leichhardt where I was sitting at least. By the way how did the members day go, couldn't get there but saw some photos on the club site?

Yeh I think our marvel jersey was a little plane & unrecognisable, just an expensive gimmic really. I much prefer our home jersey.

The members day was great. The first one I've been able to make since joining up a few years ago. Everyone was there except for Marty I think. Went with my brother & little niece (couldn't take my little one unfortunately) and got photos/had a chat with most of the players. The club went to a lot of effort to make it a real family event, plenty of kids activities, jumping castles, face painting etc. had a quick chat with Woodsy, the Keith, Teddy & Brooks & all the boys enjoyed mixing with the fans. Even picked up a jersey for $50 off. I'll be going again next year.

Agree Stryker. Both seem to be nice and sincere young men. Nothing pretentious about them. God love them. Their parents must be so proud. :stuck_out_tongue:

They did very well as 20 year olds on such a high profile show. Public speaking is not an easy job, let's be honest it's probably what everyone wants to dodge, but they will get better with experience off and on the field.
