I can’t believe that of all the players we’ve had over the years Luke Brooks is the one who has so vehemently divided the fan base.

It's not surprising at all.

He's been the starting halfback for 8 seasons and we haven't made finals in one of them.

**Any halfback in that position would divide the fanbase at any club with No.7 being such a key position.**

It's more than that though, as it's pretty much agreed upon who shares the different opinion of him and the separate attitudes on this aren't actually causing friction but people's strong reactions are.
There's absolutely nothing wrong on either side of the debate until behaviour becomes unrestrained and turns personal or toxic.
Whatever anyone's feelings are on him it shouldn't warrant attacks. No one is really coming out on top either and it's just making the forum an unpleasant place.

Whichever way you slice it, or argument you support, fighting over something completely out of your hands (another viewpoint, his place/position in the team) looks ridiculous.

I feel sorry for you if that is where your head is at. Brooks will be 7 all year and Liddle at 9. Hopefully Hastings can support him and some of our young hopefuls such as Tupou can step up and make the transition to the NRL. I hope AD makes a successful return from injury but this will take a year and I suspect he will be in the centres.

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense...

There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.

When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.

AD will take a year to get back to a semblance of normality. I am not convinced after two serious knee injuries it will be in the backs.

There should be zero expectations on him this season. Get to the off season unscathed and re-assess.
