Look I know that there will be a lot of "its only two games in" or "halfback of the year in 2018" stuff, but honestly its be seven years of this banking on potential and hoping he delivers, after 150 games, if it hasn't shown yet, it never will. And 2018, yes he had a good year, but he ran the pill, others led the team around the park not him. Now its on him.


So do you sack him now or the end of the year? And replace him with?

The club signed Madden from Newcastle for a reason, he might be wet behind the ears but he talks and **there is only one fair way to see if he can cut it,** give this young man a shot.

One fair way to see if he can cut it, is to let him play in NSW Cup. He has had two games in NSW Cup. I watched the first one and he was poor in that game. I didnt see yesterdays game. If you are going to be good enough for first grade, you need to tear up in reggies. The game I saw, he barely looked good enough for REggies.

If not there are plenty of young halves coming on the market next year Dearden, Lewis, Tracey,Boyd,Clark, Johns and Hutchinson.

If we think Brooks is bad, Lewis Johns and Hutchinson are worse. They HAVE been tried.

Several journeyman too, Williams, Taylor, and Jacks .

I'd actually take the gamble with Ash Taylor.

I'd avoid the older blokes looking for a few more years of easy street before they sail off into the sunset, Moylan, Green and A Reynolds. Think Braith or J Reynolds.

Madden was OK yesterday, not great but adequate. I wouldn’t be replacing Brooks with Madden just yet.

Exactly....so you and I have the same opinion, one voted yes, the other no, but the same opinion.

Well I don’t want him in my team moving forward. I would get rid of him at the first available opportunity.

Its probably about 70-30 in favour of letting him go over there but his defenders are coming out of the woodwork.

He must have a big family because no Tigers supporter, with even just a tiny bit of knowledge of the game, would be supporting him right now.

There are many reasons why this team hasn’t fired or made the finals in recent years, but having Luke Brooks flounder around in the number 7 is the major one. We’ve tried changing just about everything and everyone except Brooks over recent times and we’re still the same inept team. There’s a common denominator here, the writing is on the wall, though about 4 years too late.

That’s fair happy . I agree with this . I think many are jumping the shark because of 2 games against what’s looking like 2 of the top 3 teams . I’ll say it again , there’s 2 comps going on . The top 4 and and everyone else . Until we play an everyone else team , will we have a true gauge on what 2021 will bring .

I'm 100% with you. It's pretty simple to me. We stick with Brooks and Douiehi as our halves and see how we go. You give it a while longer yet.

If you are talking about the future we have to be looking for top quality halves coming through the ranks. Just the same way we targeted Stefano and Laurie.

This is the bit that worries me. IMO this is the BEST squad we have had for a long time, and we have still capitulated in periods.

I voted no but unless we can offload him from his contract we are stuck, IMO he needs a move for his own good. He’s been the next Andew Johns for far too long the guy can’t handle that mantle. Watching the game on 9 something really telling was mentioned whoever was on the sideline was asked if there was any talk out there. None from Brooks plenty from Keary, that’s very telling he can’t blame Benji or Robbie for over calling him it’s all on him and look where he got to absolutely nowhere he will never control a game or a team for that matter. Compare him to Moses he’s a slimy bugger but he constantly talks I would have rather kept him and cut Brooks free. The worst thing to happen to us was the supposed big 4 there was only ever one of the four that was big and he’s now the best fullback in the world. He was never staying we tried but he could see the writing on the wall he needed to surround himself with class players which he did. We should have kept Moses he was the only realistic one of the 4,he has a massive ego but that’s what we needed someone who wants to take on the big moments not choke on them.

Been a supporter of brooks over many seasons and even this one to start but clearly if we can't make any sort of impact in your 150th game for the club you are not at 200.

Knew we were in trouble when he ran around the banner.
We should have dropped him last year instead Madge put him on the bench (Reason to learn the position more from BM)

Coach will continue to play him this year but don't be surprised if you see Hastings lining up for us at some point instead, think he is on the radar.

I wouldn’t expose madden yet , let him get some experience in reggies and introduce him to grade when forwards can consistently dominate , you don’t want him getting smashed when introduced
