How bloody good is he? So quickly becoming my favourite player.

You couldn't criticise him yesterday or last week. Only thing was that poor deep kick but apart from that wow, what a gun.

Such a shame he was being held back earlier, he should have been controllIng the team from day one. Cleary made a brave and smart decision getting rid of Moses.

Brooks mate, congratulations, good to have you on the bus.

He was good last night. Not perfect. He should have taken control when it was clear Moses wasn't up to it and demanded the football.

That kick over the dead ball line I can forgive. He was under extreme pressure due to us badly losing the ruck in that period.

I could see what type of player he was under Potter he was coming along ,now that he has a coach that has an idea he will become one of the elite halves in the game I have not doubt, watch this unfold next season with Reynolds .The best 2 things to happen to Luke was The coach and getting rid of that wanker Moses.

I've often defended Taylor, but Brooks is one of the players that looks completely reinvigorated under Cleary.

He is starting to look good. Heaps better than Moses and without the attitude and overinflated price. He may end up earning a better salary if he keeps improving.

There are very few bad players who get to this level… The difference on many occasions is the structure in which they play.

Luke has a problem of going into his shell when playing with another dominant halves partner. We saw it with Blake Austin and we saw it with Moses. If his forwards can lay the correct foundation and Luke is given autonomy to play his natural game, he is a class #7.

The decision is up to Cleary how he instructs Luke to play. The rest will take care of itself!

Brooks is starting to show us how good a player he will be.
The sooner we lose Moses to the eels the better it will be for Brooksy and his game management.

He's an authentic halfback.
Once our forward pack is solid and we have a good #6 to partner him, he will really shine.
As mentioned.
Next year he'll defo go to a whole new level, cannot wait !
I'm with ya Milky.

im hoping Luke doesnt go into his shell when Grub comes, aswell mate.
you are spot on mate.
but like you said , im sure Cleary will have a game plan that will have
both of them working off each other.

He missed a really poor tackle early with Suli on Williams but to his credit came back strongly for the next 50 minutes, but for some reason seemed to go Mia when we needed him most

He had a fantastic game. I doubt his improvement had much to do with the coach. He showed the same brilliance before. As others here have said it is more to do with not being intimidated by the other more dominant players. I think his confidence has improved because he has known for a while that the others are going.

The missed tackle on T-Rex was awful and he made other mistakes in the game but the Luke Brooks we saw last night was infinitely better than the one we saw in the first five weeks. He has grown a leg since he resigned. TBH he was the last of the four I would have resigned but his lift in form and the integrity and character he has shown as a young man make him the best signing of the four.

How good were some of his tackles after the first poor one on Williams though.
He really aimed up and his defence has improved.

His kicking game has improved, he's taking the line on more. I'm sure the longer he has with cleary the better he'll become. Positive signs over the last 2 games.

He certainly had a better game. Still a lot of improvement to be made and if/when he does, watch out. I am looking forward to the combination with Renyolds.

Just maybe he and other players are looking better because the coach is designing game plans around the strengths of his team, instead of shoehorning them into a less suitable style of play

How good was it, he got him one on one a few times too.

Yes, I am sure that has a lot to do with it.

Lucky we got him cheap while we did. A smart manager might have advised him to hold out while his asking price went up.
