I think Brooks will be better for having Douehei alongside him, but it may not start to show this week against Easts who have a similar stifling defence to Canberra with quick line-speed, but more likely in the next couple of rounds after that.
AD seems like a natural leader who's confident enough to pick a strategy and, for better or for worse, back his decision. Brooks looks lost or indecisive too often, but time will tell and I don't see Madge dropping just yet.

And what really gets me mad is surely our players know the rushing defence of Roosters, Raiders etc. But refuse to give themselves another metre of space to execute, get charged down, kick out on the full, caught with the ball.
It totally does my head in and Brooks is a serial offender!

Just seen on nrl 360 that brooks is on $850k a year that can’t be true I can see why he gets bagged a lot he’s in the same class as ash Taylor with that money



Even if it was 700k he is well and truly over paid for what he has delivered.

If he doesnt improve it will be interesting to see if Madge goes down with the ship or makes him one of the highest paid reserve graders.

Yep Brooks needs to go to Super League. He’s just terrible.

And yet Mbye who was great for us when he first came and then got injuries is now to be sent to reggies but can play FB 5/8 hooker,centre and kick goals...and is over priced....Luke is supposed to be the main playmaker and thats his only job,and now kicks goals and was our to be messiah to lead us to the promised land...go figure...

This sums it up perfectly. It was farahs fault, then benjis fault. No it’s the forwards fault. Our forwards were going forward in the first half and what did Brooks do?? The worst kicking game in the nrl. First attacking kick goes a 1m into the Raiders hands. Next 3 kicks are his speciality bombs that don’t go high enough and don’t go close enough to the opposition tryline. then with no pressure kicks it out on the full. If he doesn’t deliver this season then i hope it’s the last with us.

I assume it was a typo, the list appeared to be in order of salary top to bottom. Brooks was last on the list, below Moses at $750k. I’m pretty sure it was meant to say $650k. The other players on the list of “pricey halves not delivering to their value” were:
Milford 1 million
Morgan 1 million
Hunt 1 million
Moses $750k

Im shocked that Ash Taylor didn’t make the list.

Feel for brooks, just looking at him he looks likes he’s aged, he just looks like he’s not enjoying his footy. I noticed he doesn’t have his social media anymore, hope it has nothing to do with people writing stupid shit in public spaces about players. I feel he could play 10 great games and then have a bad game and he will cop the same criticism. Last game he made some silly mistakes which I don’t think he will make this week, but he also had no time to attack, Canberra where already on him by the time he had the ball, him being the main and only threat in the halves made it easier for Canberra to rush him. We need to be patient, this game coming up is his first game with what looks like our new permanent spine. Our fans take their frustration at not making the 8 in 10 years on brooks. It’s not fair and it’s not his fault. He just needs to find some confidence with some good games and hopefully the fans get behind him. It’s getting way too toxic with the amount of hate our fans have for him.

Trouble is Tigerblood,Luke has had more excuses than anybody else in this squad and previous squad members,THIS YEAR he has to get it right,everything is in his favour to do so,Madge,the club and we the members and fans have given him more than enough time and excuses...I have been critical of Luke many times and this year I said he will have a standout year to shine,I hope he doesnt prove me wrong...

I thought Brooks was on 675 and Mbye on 875?
Brooks is worth more than Mbye to WT imo. Brooks may not be the best at positioning his teammates but he doesn’t look into the grandstand when he passes long.

Wasn't a typo, they said Moses was on the least money.
Brooks is not worth anywhere near that $850K.
Funny how Mbye gets drawn and quartered for his performance/salary while Brooks gets a million excuses.
