I don't believe he is on a massive contact for a half.

I texted my easts supporting daughter after Keary went off last night, she said" we need a half", I said "you can have Brooks, he is due to come good".
She replied, " no thanks we will stick with Walker".
That pretty much sums up Brooks standing in the game unfortunately.

I just read a Channel 9 WWOS article by Tim Elba with a headline that Luke Brooks’ playing woes are driving his teammates “insane”!!
Ends up that none of his teammates have said anything like that and that quote is basically a twist of the words Fittler and Johns came up with in one if their nonsensical dribblings on.
Really appalling click bait headline that just puts more pressure on the guy - Elba you should be ashamed of yourself!

If you were Brooks you would ask the club why they are trying to buy a 25yo halfback. I’m sure Madden is also interested in the club’s response. To say he is required to play lock or front row or whatever doesn’t quite answer the question..hence the lack of focus in round 2.?? Benji claimed to have had a similar experience regarding lack of transparency. I’m just looking for reasons for Brooks’ poor form.

You can look at it anyway you like ?
It can be an excuse, a reason, an obstacle which needs to be removed? You just can’t go around sacking players because of poor form.

Brooks is only a part of the problem he is just the current best target for all the frustration that fans have for what at this point looks like another tough season ahead. We are on the nose with players and that is our biggest problem and not sure how we rectify that without winning.

Last year I think our attack was not a problem at all we just couldn't get in a position to maintain pressure enough. The last two games we just appeared not good enough and dropped our bundle. For all the Marshall knockers he took the pressure of Brooks imo.
Attitude and commitment a major problem in the last two games and the players need to own it.

Get Hastings and Brooks off to the Cowboys. It would do Brooks the world of good being coached by Payten again.

Payten was a good player and also a good coach. He certainly has the football smarts to get the best from Brooks, just like IC could.
