I don’t understand all the anti Brooks rhetoric? Echoes from journalists like Chamas maybe? When they want to turn up the volume it’s as easy as raising Brooks pay packet😂
I’ve seen his contract go from $675 to $750 to $850 to $900k 😂 What happens at $1m? Keyboards start flying? 😂

I was listening to the latest Bloke in a bar podcast. He was saying you can often take off $200K on whatever Fox is reporting. I think he mentioned Brooks. He definitely mentioned Gutho. Fox kept bumping up his price to create headlines.

Remember when they said Mbyes salary was 1 million?

I stopped taking them seriously when they said that.

NRL stats only giving him one try assist? Had a major hand in 3.

Is it ? 1 was 29 when signed years off origin , the other has played 1 origin game and is 32 , with a history of hamstring issues , which If you know anything about hamstring / lower back injuries , don’t get better as you age, they progressively get worse .
But whatever , give us another hot tip , that’s 100% fabricated , and another asinine attack at one of our players . I’d like to say , I really enjoy your posts , but that would be a lie .

So tell us how many games in the last 3 years has Adam Reynolds dodgy hamstring kept him out of playing?

He’s 32 mate ! You want to spent a mil on a player with those issues ? Plus how many of those games did he finish on the sideline . He’s tough as nails , so he’d always get out there , and go down . You’ve got an agenda . Don’t pretend like you don’t .

I have an opinion, yes your right on our halfback. My agenda is to play finals football. My loyalty is to the team not to individual players. Let’s play with facts here and not keep bending them. Adam Reynold is currently 30 years of age ( not 32). Adam Reynolds has averaged 24 games a year for the last 3 years. What’s your agenda by continuing to post false information?

Nothing . He will be 32 if he plays for us next year . So it’s not bending anything . He turns 31 in the next few weeks . And having a pretty good understanding of the biomechanics of the hamstring and lower back injuries and how they connect . As I have had one . And spent some time with surgeons and specialists about how these things go, not to mention research I’ve done . And it’s clear it way worse as you get older. I think it’s too much of a risk . Plus I remember the guy named Reynolds we just released who was 32 , at the completion of his contract not the start . Take also into account he doesn’t really want to come here , he just wants to secure his position. So once again all enough for me to stick with what we have and see how it goes , as it’s been 3 games . I don’t want hear “we haven’t played finals for 8 years “ because really we only had a chance at making that the first year and maybe like 2 other seasons in there . The rest of the time the team was horrible and we’ve been backed for the spoon more times than I can remember . For me , we’ve missed the finals the last 2 years in this current regime . Anything that happened before isn’t applicable to anything other than your emotions .
We’ve had mismanaged players , bad coaches ,‘poor attitude , bad recruiting , disgusting facilities, no corporate support , even less media support , and one by one we are clearing it up . Now it’s the tough one of getting the guys on the field to win .
My position is clear , I want to win with tigers juniors , and kids who have bought in . For loyalty reasons , as I’m a loyal guy , but mainly for sustainability reasons , like being in that conversation for top 4 every year . And it doesn’t happen with signing mercenaries, who arnt someone like Cooper Cronk or James Maloney , and clearly can leave a legacy after they go .And both are light years ahead of Reynolds and proven winners of Multiple premierships.

To me Reynolds is a winner and someone who can lead a team around and achieve success. So let’s agree to disagree.

The dream of tiger juniors running around winning us comps is dead. I’m very happy with our recruitment drive in targeting all the best juniors and bring them over. The likes of Laurie, stefano and Simpkin is what we will get us into finals and they are all other teams juniors.

??? That’s literally what I mean . They’re targeting kids to grow together . I didn’t necessarily mean they had to have grown up in Ctown or Five Dock , I just meant growing together , and targeting guys who can buy into a culture because they’re the ones who are creating it , by and large .

Well then Reynolds aside and we are on the same page lol

And the agendas lived happily ever after

Yea, I agree . It’s not just brooks for me , it’s Liddle , Nofa , even I hope seyfarth comes good , and Garner and cheekam . Guys who love the club and are open and honest about that . They don’t have to be juniors . It’s one of the things I’m critical about benji for , as I don’t actually think he loves the club , but rather his status within it . Where as Robbie , as opinionated as he is , I always believed he loved the joint, even when he fell out and left . For me , they’re the guys I want to get behind .

I hear what your saying kazoo. If I’m honest, I have to admit I’d rather see someone succeed than fail, regardless of who they are unless of course they’re an opponent. Brooks has been under more pressure than a sumos belt buckle, but he managed to get the job done on the Knights. I still don’t understand why the club is talking to Hastings?

Maybe it is to play lock . He’s not tiny , has a quick play the ball , and has a good running game . Lends itself to an old school lock. You could run him at 13 , have Simpkin on the bench , with Twal Uto and Joe. I don’t know where Simpkins and Blore fit in , but it’s good headache to have . Mbye is definitely blocking Simpkin , but as he’s 19 he seemed like a job for Ronnie (later on ). And not a today problem . Turns out it is . I am a little irritated at his manager throwing shade at the club through The fox sports anti tigers brigade. When of course the club made him play , he was right to play . It’s not the clubs fault the doctors misdiagnosed it . Plus every NRL player plays with these types of injuries , which is why we have a huge amount of post season surgeries .

Yeh, maybe you’re right. We are desperate for a footballer, a big little man, at 13.
Sam Williams is a 78kg 18yo, Suaalii is 17, ok probably encouraged by parents struggling with the food bill. So age or weight isn’t a factor in eligibility? There appears to be no hard and fast rule apart from skill level? If Simpkin or Madden don’t have the skill now, when will they?

Simpkin has it now . But he’s got a 15 year potential career in the middle . It’s a long time , and maybe he’s not hit certain metrics that the club has put in place , plus Liddle isn’t horrendous either . I’d say the biggest thing was Mbye blocking his pathway . Which is probably a money thing and a status thing considering ,5 months ago that was the club captain .

Just watched brooks media piece on tigers website. He admitted that it was douhie that spoke to the team when they went behind on the score board againstNewcastle. I would of expected our 150 game veteran half back to be standing up.. I honestly don't think he will last the year . He's not a leader . U have to be at 7... bring hastings in. He is an absolute mungrel .type of guy u need in the trenches....

I'd expect both halves to be speaking to the team. As for. Hastings, I've heard him described in a lot of ways, with mongrel probably the nicest.

Just re-watched Brooks' debut video... Big difference in terms of confidence from when he had just first hit the scene to now... And he especially looks better when he was just playing off the cuff, where now he is supposed to be playing as the controlling halfback organiser which just isn't his role and all his creativity just ends up being used towards hopeless high bombs on the last tackle

The Panthers don't require set up plays. They are so good they come at you from anywhere on the field. We need to look at this and adopt a more aggressive attacking approach.

I see this all the time with respect to Luke Brooks. I also see "WE NEED A GAME MANAGER" and Brooks isnt one.

DO people not see what the high bombs are? They ARE game management. THe game changes all the time. The high bomb is the new kick to the corner. The kick to the corner doesnt work anymore because of the positioning of wingers. If you "kick to the corners" the winger gets the opportunity to run it 20-30m before the defence gets there. The high bomb gives the kick chase time to get through and tackle the winger/FB pretty much where and when they catch it, hopefully 10m out, pinning the opposition deep in their own line.
