May as well sign Sam Williams from Raiders. Haven’t seen him play in years but he was spectacularly average, better then Brooks though who is spectacularly awful

Though he was one of the better players for us today. Surprised on the comments here. Shocking short kick but at least he tried something, set up a couple of tries and line breaks, kicked fairly well and the defensive gaps were on his side they were Douehi, Jet,Nofa where teams are always running.

Good post. I thought he played well. Notice he covered up Luciano's two glaring tackle misses early. I thought those two misses were a bad sign of a poor attitude for the game. Nofoaluma is the player who should go to NSW Cup for an extended period.

You must have missed Roberts performance,he was the worst player on the field.Nofo would have got 2nd worst

Agree, I could not believe how bad Roberts played, thank heavens he is only on a one year contract.

People taking aim at Luke Brooks - for what? He did his job. Set up tries, got the team around the park in attack, didn't miss any tackles.

Why not look at our middle forwards, who for the 200th consecutive game were run through like a sieve? How about the shocking defence on the other side (Roberts & Nofoaluma) letting in soft tries?

The stats are meaningless. Brooks hasn’t got a clue at the moment. He basically telegraphs his plays, doesn’t fool anyone. I’ve seen schoolboys with more deception in their plays than Brooks has at the moment. He is utterly rudderless.

Some blokes have good stats but just suck the air from their team. Brooks stats should read no missed tackles, no try assists, no minutes.

People who think he's ok need to watch other NRL teams.

I think the opposite. People who hate him so much need to watch the NRL and see how poor halves are today.

I can't see him ever being a great player though. He should be a cheap half that does the job while you try and get the next big star.

Yes I agree he should be a cheap player. If he was just a full in because the rest of the park was filled with talented players taking up the cap that would be ok. Reynolds, cherry Evans, Hughes, Williams... Just watch a few of their matches.

Mate I watched every game this weekend , and one thing I noticed is how poor the kicking games of most of them not named Reynolds were . I also notice that some of those teams play on 1 edge , where as Luke goes to first receiver close to the ruck .
What I also notice is he shifts at the line , and gives AD an eternity to shift either ball , or dump off out the back to Laurie . How many times did Laurie get the ball with space to move ? Is that on brooks being first receiver ?

I have to wonder whether they do much work at training on attack because they consistently look lost and running into each other or just getting in each others way. Far too often the play stops because a lead runner gets it wrong and the guy with the ball has to stop otherwise will give away a penalty for a shepherd. the number 7 is supposed to run the attack and not let this kind of thing happen but Brookes just isn't up to it.
I've been supporting him for years but no more. He's not going to get better; he has no more excuses.

Brooks wasn't our worst today, but he sure doesn't do himself any favors when we get inside the opposition 20 - there's not much in the way of directing runners and setting up the next play.

Attack and defence under IC was so much better. We need to look at how we play. Offloads need to be a feature of our game. Our players look scared to demonstrate flair which has always been part of WT DNA.
