Luke Lewis Signs With Sharks For 4 Years

He signed a 4 year deal with sharks lol at bal main wasting his time.

Luke Lewis has confirmed he has signed a four-year deal with the Sharks.

Lewis rang the Sharks this morning to confirm he would be taking up their offer.

He also also telephoned rival clubs Newcastle, West Tigers and Parramatta to inform them he had signed elsewhere.

Not too dissapointed really. Obviously would loved to have had him but he plays in a position we're fairly well off in. Good luck to the Sharks. Credit to the club for the hard work in turning things around there. Some are suggesting we didn't have the $$$ to fit in him, well at least to match or better the Sharks offer.

Good thing for us is we didn't "Need' him. So we're still well positioned. It now gives us the chance to move back to our original plans and continue on them. The money can now be used on retaining, upgrading contracts. Lewis to Cronulla only means one thing for us. A stronger Cronulla next season. We'll be sweet.

500k for four years is a bit much. there is NO way he will be anywhere near worth that money in 4 years. He will be 32 a that stage. Look at the decline in Hindmarsh etc in that time. Still decent, nowhere near worth it though.

Yeah, me too. I would have loved Luke Lewis to be a tiger, but, not at the expense of losing Liam Fulton and others.

I've lost no respect for Lewis

He could of let this carry on for weeks which would of affected all clubs involved but has knocked it on the head very quickly

Good luck to the Sharks. For a few moments there I let go & believed that Lewis would sign with us. It was great feeling, the body tingles over in anticipation to see him in our colors in 2013\. I let go & believed that we would have it over Bulldogs in 2013\. It was the best feeling & I haven't felt it since 2005\. But it's not to be. When I heard on the radio that he signed with Sharks that feeling disappeared instantly. That beautiful feeling was gone. Then my next thought was Tim Sheens. Why have we lost that loving feeling. So be it. Imagine how it feels to be a Shark supporter today. They must be on top the world. Then all of a sudden I'm happy again. Because I didn't lose that feeling, this energy has simply transferred to the Cronulla supporters. Life is short - share the love I say! We've had this feeling before us Wests Tigers fans but it's been a long while for Cronulla fans to be on cloud 9\. I really feel happy for them & I hope that the Sharks take out bulldogs in next years grand final. Tongue in cheek. What a beautiful Friday today. It's so great to be alive.

Happy either way i think even though he's still playing well, his best years are past him. He'd probably end up another Lote, paying overs for and not getting any value out of him. Hope we spend the dough and buy a no 7 that can steer this erratic side around. Sharks will have a good side with Wade Graham killing it and Lewis there they have a very mobile backrow
