Madge and Pascoe

So what if it is true and they don't like each other....

Can anyone here say they have always liked their boss or a boss who have always liked their employee..it has zero to do with improving results..

They both just have to do their jobs..it's not high school..

Is that a confirmation?

Awesome ?

I remember when Pascoe first came in and said one home ground would be his priority ?

He’s useless ..punt Pascoe

I remember that article. One home ground and sort out the Taylor/ Farah stuff was his first priorities. He aced both of those things.

I love these “was told by a mate” stories. This mate is an Eels supporter - go figure.

Yeah Hooper wrote an opinion piece earlier and it had holes in it. He ended it with Madge not a fan of Pascoe’s hair style???

Pascoe is doing his job by getting and keeping the football club in the black. He got the COE funding now it’s in construction. He has helped bring about indigenous pathways to our club. He has played a major hand in community involvement.

Madge and Hartigan are setting up better junior pathways and are getting our salary cap mess straightened out.

We just aren’t winning. In fact, most weeks we are getting flogged. Madge must get our defense in order and start winning more games than we are losing.

Madge will certainly go before Pascoe if he doesn’t.

I can’t blame Pascoe for not getting the “one home ground” sorted out. I don’t know how many forum members there are but no-one on here can agree on a solution to that problem.

Pascoe may well have had his idea on what he wanted to do but couldn’t get board approval.

You can't argue with that, if Madge had as good as results as Pascoe, we are comfortably in the 8

Not to my knowledge..just an observation on a professional relationship..liking or not liking I could not care less..

My guess is that the majority of fans want one home ground and would support whatever the club decides is that home ground, it’s just everyone’s preference as to what it should be is split. A CEO with strong leadership would run a process to decide the best option (balancing supporters, corporates, juniors, players etc) and then make a call and go all in. If fans knew what the decision was and the club marketed attractive memberships to get traction at the chosen venue then I think it would be a huge success, regardless of whatever ground they choose. With the Venues NSW deal ending in 2023 I hope the club can make this call in the next 12 months.

In theory you are right mate but I think the club doesn’t want to lose any current members over a one home game decision. I’ve read many posts on here where people say they won’t go to such and such ground or won’t renew if they can’t get Leichardt/Campbelltown member packages. I am all for one home ground but seeing as I live in Rockhampton my opinion on which one is probably mute.

Ive said it in other threads. The wandering nomads for home ground is not sustainable. If WT cannot make the decision, let NRL HQ provide the options and either WT decide or they will.

A lot of bias around Pascoe on all sides.

Of course all arguments are valid when you cherry pick the evidence.

Personally I've turned off him gradually as on-field performance continues to suffer. To say the head of the business has no accountability for performance is a misrepresentation of a simple fact - we are a football club.

I acknowledge the solid financial work he has done, he was the right guy for a few years and I had a record of defending him staunchly on here. I'm 70/30 in favour of ditching him and am open to being proven wrong by a change in fortunes.

Agree mate.. I have to give Pascoe credit for making the football club profitable and helping build this club up from the ground. COE was a big win but know he was not alone in this.
My only concerns is the football decisions side of things but hey I'm not in the room so hard to comment.

COE and in the black. It doesn't give a whiff of failure.

Apart from the fact we got a salary cap fine for his dealings with Farah, got himself suspended, played a big part in the loss of Tedesco, created the Ivan Cleary fiasco, and overseen an unsuccessful football team for the past 5-6 years. You're right, no failure at all!

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has heard anything similar to what i'm about to share.

Was speaking to a mate of mine today, late 40s, successful businessman etc (just highlighting to provide some context of credibility - take it what you will), he used to play for Parra back in the day, is good mates with Mark O'Neil (buckets) and a lot of the old tigers players because he grew up in Balmain.

Anyway he told me today that he had heard, it was supposed to come out in the media this week about the fractured relationship between Madge and Pascoe, and that Madge thinks Pascoe is hopeless.

Anyway my only intention is to see if anyone else had heard something similar. I'm not saying that its true. But my mate is a solid guy.

I think I know who your mate is... But I can't work out how to pm you

No matter what people think of pascoe he has done enough to get him too the completion of the coe. He deserves that. After thats complete we can reassess imo

I think the Tigers should move on from Pascoe at the end of the season and bring back Mark ONeil as GM and Tim Sheens to be director of coaching. The club needs help with pathways and improving coaching across all levels. The executive also needs more rugby league acumen.

I also think one of the directors should be a former player of more recent years as they need a fresh perspective. Put Robbie on.

Why? Our juniors are killing it by all reports. Isn't that the whole plan? Build from the ground up?

Pascoe has turned the financial and administrative performance of the club around and when he took over we were broke. He didn't hire Madge, the Board did. Recruitment is Hartigan's responsibility. People on here just make crap up. How did Pascoe loose Tedesco as one clown on here suggests? How did he create the Cleary situation? He didn't. There should be an IQ Test to join this forum, that way we could reduce the Ignorance Factor by 90%.

I completely agree with everything you said before this point. This actually is counter productive to your argument and imo reduces the things that you have stated.Everyone on here is entitled to their pov even ones i totally disagree with.
