Madge and Pascoe

Yeah teddy didn't want to stay. He is just saying those things to come across as the nice guy who didn't have a choice. If he wanted to stay he would have. He didn't.

Teddy was gone a long long time before any contract deadline was given.

That's says more about our club than him I reckon.

No that says more about Tedesco. I had no issue with him leaving. The issue is he dragged it out unecessarily and we lost Papenhuyzen

Well if fans knew he was dragging it out then our lead negotiator should have had a clue. Paps was also offered to everyone a few years ago . Why didn't we sign him then? Teddy was long gone.

We are all disappointed at the way our season is playing out
But to improve on past results we had to release players that we could no longer see improvement in and taking our team forward
We then replaced these players with young players who have much more potential and improvement within themselves
I believe this has happened but these players are still young and have much improvement ahead of them
Unfortunately for us it is not happening quick enough and it's showing in the results
The most disappointing thing is its mainly the experienced players that are letting the team down
I think we need to be patient with most young recruits
The older team members must be replaced as soon as practically possible with elite players
Packer MCK and Bj may all be gone at the end of this year
Bj Maybe an extension at $300,000 maximum
Mbye needs to be offloaded
We need a Reynolds in our team
If we could snare him other teams would come knocking for Brooks
The Cheese is also a player we could use
Packers money would likely acquire him
I would also go for Ferguson on the cheap
My thoughts

we often underestimate the value of players we develop:
e.g. Tedesco - if Farah did not help he would be gone to Canberra and after a few years he was gone for good.
A similar story about: Karoibete, Papenhuyzen, N Brown

Whether we call this year a rebuilding year or not, that's really what it is. We are simply on a wholly different performance level to the likes of Penrith, Storm, Roosters and the Eels and we are not the only team in that position. Doubt Madge staying or going will change that materially one way or the other.

Pascoe has turned the financial and administrative performance of the club around and when he took over we were broke. He didn't hire Madge, the Board did. Recruitment is Hartigan's responsibility. People on here just make crap up. How did Pascoe loose Tedesco as one clown on here suggests? How did he create the Cleary situation? He didn't. There should be an IQ Test to join this forum, that way we could reduce the Ignorance Factor by 90%.

As I understood it, Pascoe's main job was to get the joint shipshape financially (it wasn't when he took over) and to ensure the organisation's long term financial viability. I believe he's done exactly that especially with his work on getting the COE off the ground. Merely signing off as CEO on player deals promoted by the football department that ultimately turn out to be flops is hardly Pascoe's fault.

I put up a quote from him saying he was the lead negotiator in trying to re-sign Teddy.
We can't just clear him of responsibly of anything
the club fails at.
Why did he get credit for growing memberships? Shouldn't the membership dept get accolade?

I put up a quote last week from Pascoe where he said he took responsibly for losing Teddy as he was the lead negotiator.

I saw Teddy getting interviewed a few weeks ago,, he was asked about leaving us, he said the reason he left was they put a deadline on signing, and he wanted to see about a few things first. He actually said, believe it or not, if they hadn’t put a deadline on it, he probably would of stayed

What rubbish. Deadlines arent required if you really want to stay. Go in and get the job done mate, why were you dragging your heels?

Answer was he was just squeezing those last offers out of Bulldogs and Roosters. Those comments seem to forget Bulldogs thought they had Tedesco over the line before Roosters ponied up?

Remember our forum friend who started a rumour that Teddy was set to backflip on the Roosters and sign with Parramatta. Made it all the way to Fox. Where is that guy!?

I think that was Tacky - he was great value. He use to deliberately stir up other teams forums with false rumours. Hilarious.
