Madge has to take the blame!

Mbye was fullback last year and was so poor that Madge dropped him to the bench. Only a late injury saved him. He’s not an NRL fullback

So we've got about 6 fullbacks and they none of them are NRL standard ..arguably the most important position

Wow can’t believe people are bashing Madge like that, it’s round 4 two weeks after a pandemic.
He hasn’t even got the team he wants yet, he’s got dead wood players here who he inherited still here.
He has changed our attitude, he just needs to change our attitude that we need to fully punish the teams below us. We actually do alright against teams above.

Let’s see how we perform the next game, I believe our mongrel will change after Madge rips into them

Well let's see if he changes the team or not. Madge was clearly pissed off, he clearly wants a better standard, the question is does he change cattle to get that to happen. I think some players should be accountable for ordinary performances tonight.

Also however we have to realise we don't have a deep roster and this time around, more than ever, you can't simply reach down into reserves and grab match-fit players.

Adam O’Brien hasn’t got the team he wants at Newcastle but he’s seemingly achieved in one offseason what Madge couldn’t in 1.5 years.

Can’t blame Madge for this. He genuinely seems shocked and disappointed about this performance.

The players didn’t do what he asked and that’s on them, they didn’t even look like they wanted to win that’s not something he’s coachin.

Who selected that weak as Bench ... who selects Jennings every week ... who selects a 1/2 that has no drive or any idea ! No the honeymoons over for the coach time to Perform !

? the side he picked is questionable

Had the exact game plan as last week and didn’t work what’s the point of Lawrence and Walters for the last 20.

Was he that poor tho and any worse then Thompson douei

One of the things I was really disappointed in was out lack of aggression.
There was a few periods in that game where the Titans really got up in our face and tried to hurt us.
When we had chances to pin them in their own half we let them get a roll on.the halves were woeful as was a certain winger but the forwards need to find some ticker that was not first grade standard

The coach is the last person I would be pointing the finger at. The halves were terrible, but the forwards outside Grant gave them little momentum to work with, in saying that it’s up to the halves to drive the forwards.

Good teams attack with their defence, they belt teams. It takes the steam out of their opponents. From whereI sit, we are two quality forwards short of where we should be. The two kids we have signed, one from Parra and one from Penrith will help, but you can’t expect them to be the answer for a year or two.

Anyway if you can’t beat the Titian’s it tells you a lot about the under belly of our squad...soft

How can you possibly blame Madge? Was he put there running around? Do you not think before the game he did everything possible to avoid this happing? We have josh Reynolds Chris Macqueen russel Packer all sitting in the side lines on huge money unable to make the starting side was that madges folt? Did he sign them? No it’s going to take a while to recover from what Ivan Milat has done to us here Madge is building for the future I’m behind him all the way!!!

Here we go once again! its the forwards fault that Brooks runs around like a lost dog .Its not the coaches fault that the best attacking move is five hit ups and a kick .To be honest if it was not for Grants attack the rest look like a totally rabble with no idea but hey its the forwards !

Hahahahaha what? The game plan last week WORKED. We won last week or did you forget that? The boys dug deep and came away with a win, and Walters was massive off the bench. He had no reason to change the team.

We’ve had 5 different coaches in 8 years don’t know of another club with such a high attrition rate . We can’t keep blaming coaches or we’ll have another 5 over the next 8 years it’s time the playing group had a few honesty sessions and took responsibility for there performances. They were ordinary against dragons and lucky to win they were terrible against the knights and got flogged they were average against the sharks and ordinary last night.

Its not Maguire's fault, he stuck with the side that did the job against the Sharks. You look at the stats it indicates defusal of kicks and the penalty count was the reason why the Titans had the majority of possession, and in a good position on the field. Jennings missed a few kicks, Maguire could not catch those kicks for him, and Jennings is in the side, because in the past he has been our safest winger in that department. I think there will be some changes on the bench, only Clarke and Walters should stay.

Having slept on it, I question where we will go with Madge. The media conference talking about losing being a trait of this club is weak as water.

That's what he is being paid >500k a year to fix and after a couple of offseasons last night's loss has nothing to do with him, it is the clubs culture.

If he is going to list that as an excuse after losses, he should resign now.

No argument from me there, but until he came along they were a bit of a mess. He’s completely changed their attitude and the way they play. They play with real purpose now.
