Anyone that thinks sacking Madge now will make anything better is a moron.

What desperate loser would want to coach the Tigers after another coach is sacked mid contract? Changes are needed and I would definitely get the best defensive coach I could, but we are stuck with Madge.

Correct.

Send Nofa, Jet, Mbye, Maumalo, Luci, Garner, Mikaele, Joffa straight to a Bondi house party

OK I think Madge should probably go but half the team should go with him. Funny enough Brooks is one of the only ones trying along with Laurie. The forwards have been woeful along with centres and wingers. Need a torch through the joint and go back to find young players with attitude and enthusiasm. Funny enough our 2005 team would love these rules. Need to find forwards who fall forward and get quick play the balls and backs with pace.

Hand held high as a moron who wanted him gone long ago.

Maguire is a defensive coach we have heard alot about it since he signed but the players are not adapting to his style at all .everytime we have played since the early games raiders ,roosters .I always questioned i dont think we can win .to change his defensive structure this time of year was not the answer especially when there has been no combination alignment of both sides of the ruck .the next 5 or 6 rounds are against equal opposition mayb except manly . We have the bye so TIME WILL TELL

Johns talked about WTs losing its identity and referred to Maguire's coaching based supposedly on defence being the cause.

Delaying just further damages the confidence of any player that has any left.

Screw the players... if they dont take personal responsibility, I hope they drive their asking prices into the ground and never get another contract. Im more than happy for them to hit centrelink. A professional isnt paid because they are always perfect, they are highly paid because they can deal with adversity yet still perform at a high standard.

Plenty of tradesmen deal with pathetic leadership yet perform to a professional standard. Its the norm... The construction industry is a prime example.

Yep a lot of morons on here apparently

Our attack has no structure at all. Our defence does not move up. Players don't number up. You can see finger pointing in the squad, there is no unity. There are less than half a dozen players having a go.

He need to stop talking about accountability and make it happen.

Mbye is going through the motions. He is half the player Milford is, and still gets picked every week.

Surely he realises that these players are not going to stand up and save his job.

I remember players at Souths saying that the fatigue from training left them flat come game time. That looks like us.

A lot of this is on Madge, he has signed most of these players & if he can't get them playing, he needs to go.

Unless he is willing to drop players he is useless as an NRL coach.

Simple.

End it.

It is simple, I have a list of who to drop, but WHO do you bring up, we are still in the race for top 8, getting harder to be sure? Remembering we have a bye next week? Then we have a some easier games (if their is easier games) coming, all is not lost yet?

You can call for his head for alot of reasons... But this game isnt one of them.

4 times Mbye was run behind because he, and only he, chose to defend into the middle of the park planting his feet and turning his shoulders into the middle, and singularly created an overlap. Only once was the try disallowed because Reynolds stepped out.

Twice Dewy did the same.

A desperation offload within our own 20m, yet not a single player desperate enough to jump on the ball. Play the ball errors in our 20m...

If we sack Madge we let these players off... problem is, we need to build these players or pay them to ride the pine. The cupboards are bare, well they arent entirely, but we dont need the future born into this sort of world, we dont want them to know apathy.

Madge might not be the answer. I personally doubt he can fully turn us around. Though I do believe he can be the coach who breaks them down to hand a competent and malleable squad over to the next coach.

Make or break the squad, they are mentally weak. Moving Madge on allows the players to shift responsibility to a man no longer with the orginisation. They need to find accountability down to the player.

So you're saying...

Sack Madge... and the players?

🤔
My man.... it's genius!

Sack madge
Sack the players
Burn the club to the ground
Relocate
Throw all our toys out of the cot.

This is unacceptable. Defensive structure is horrible and our right edge are absolutely clueless. I’m a Madge fan but he’s lost the team.
We need new players no doubt but we should be competing harder than this.

Our forwards don’t run the ball hard, slow to play the ball it’s pretty much a training run.
Shane Flanagan is the only option in my view we can’t go to a rookie but Madge’s time is up.
These players know a bad performance or two more will do the trick.

I can't cop Flanagan

I can, he changed my mind with his insightful commentary on FOX, he is able to coach the modern game, Madge is not

It was pretty obvious in the dressing room prior to the game the players weren't listening to him. That's the end for Maguire.

Yeah, very noticeable. He gave a rev up, he even demonstrated the old 'find your shoulder' technique...and not a single one of them bounced up. They all looked half asleep.

Walters have the Broncs the same speech and some of them were bouncing off the walls after it.

His style just does not work anymore. They need a coach who can improve their techniques and offer real game plans.

They must have listened to his half time speech?
The Rabbits are a top 4 team, there backline is far superior than ours, surely no one thought these last 4 games were winnable?
We have half a team full of kids and some who are just cruising, I mean our little FB was our best player for us today? Getting rid of the bludgers won't be easy atm.

I am not saying Madge is doing a great job, I am saying the Tigers have sacked so many coaches and changed coaches so many times that they have to stick with him. If they sack Madge they are admitting that they got it wrong again. If they sack Madge they lose whatever benefits he has brought and start at zero again.

Another 5 years in the bottom 8 is what you are demanding. So yeah, morons.

Post match press conference pretty accurate today - "we were garbage". Visibly frustrated and will definitely be looking at the team for the next game. He was critical of the line speed and thinks it is more to do with attitude from the players at the moment.

Went into a bit more background on what's happening to rebuild the club, but yeah, he was filthy.

Bottom line our defensive structure is all over the place, and most teams have very little trouble cracking it. Today was total rubbish again and I hope the second half comeback doesn’t mask how terrible we are.

They stand on their heels and let the collision come to them, there is no line speed and no talk. At this level they all can defend but it’s a mentality thing and we are soft.

Anyway sadly it’s time, Madge is not working and we are going backwards. New coach with some fresh ideas in how to instill some real passion into our defence.

Yeah, I was pissed when on the back of what I saw as failure, the club was looking at extending Maguire in the latter part of last year, rather than waiting until into a chunk of this season.

Once the (for mine yet another wrong) decision had been made I thought okay, I'll just fall into line and accept their choice and support the coach.

Shortly afterwards it was yeah, nah, can't do it.
