Right now I would take Flanagan as coach only because when he coached Cronulla he had them defend very well. I don’t care about peptides, that’s history. I want a coach that can get the team to defend.

Some will say that he had a team of old heads, players that had loads of experience. Well he put them there over a number of years, he built that team. No-one can argue that they weren’t a good defensive unit.

Which of the teams that have won comps recently haven’t cheated. The broncos team (paying Lockyer $150k), the storm ( 2 books for pay), the roosters (unlimited salary cap). Playing by the rules doesn’t get you very far in the NRL.

Serious question, what actually keeps Maguire in the job ? A better coaching staff might actually help but how do we know they’ll actually go out and make those changes. By keeping Madge over the off-season you run the risk of taking the exact same team practically with the same coaching staff into next year which would be an absolute disaster.

Players might grow a set this off season ?

That’s the beauty of a forum like this, we all obviously want success for the club, and as fans and supporters we have different opinions about issues the club faces and directions and choices that can be made in order to be successful .. I respect your opinion and we can all still have morals and principles but disagree on some things, but still get along and support the team. A better squad. No coach is getting this squad near a finals berth. Unfortunately we won’t be there next year either. We can’t recruit and we are developing young players. There’s no chance a club under current financial conditions is paying out a coach and recruiting a new one with our squad. The best hope is Madge is able to get rid of more players and bring through some more players and a few new recruits.

Which of the teams that have won comps recently haven’t cheated. The broncos team (paying Lockyer $150k), the storm ( 2 books for pay), the roosters (unlimited salary cap). Playing by the rules doesn’t get you very far in the NRL.

If you can't win fairly, cheat. Your call. NRL is not a kids game but I sure hope you aren't a parent .
