It’s pretty obvious that Madge can’t recruit star talent. Hartigan can recruit emerging talent that is looking for a top 30 contract but if the player is an established top tier first grader they want to win a premiership and play in a strong team/system. That’s on Madge

Floater is a new name for a councillor, a sports psychologist ?
Tim will get to the route of Nofa’s underlying issues and treat them. I hope he can also relieve the board from any responsibilities they have with the footy department. ?

They are professional footballers. If they cannot handle internal and external criticism then they are in the wrong business. NRL is not a standard workplace - most workplaces don't get filmed, don't ask employees to make public comments on a weekly basis. Most employees don't have their personal effects in the media. Most employees don't have external parties critiquing their performances.

So if the coach calls the team out, justifiably, and that's something you can't handle, then you need to reconsider a career as a professional footballer. Because the coach is going to be softer on you, more understanding, more collaborative and constructive than any other external party, of which there are very many.

If he wants to back his players up by saying he has a good group of players and he believes in them as he has said so many times,why cant he criticise them when they fail him?
I know people will have a go at me because I mention about my playing days BUT I have to say,back then we did what the coach asked,if we needed help he was always there,yes we copped a spray at times in no uncertain terms and the language was pretty tough,BUT we listened and took it onboard to improve our game..we never backchatted,critiqued or belittled him...it was called RESPECT ...something these overpaid wannabees know little about...especially blaming each other or whiteanting staff and players...
Its a diffrent ball game these days....
