Well done Madge for 2021. You did your beat and so did the boys.we look forward to 2022. I hope we can be pleasantly surprised.

You genuinely think this was the boys doing their best today?

No but they have NRL contracts that they have to live up to...if they cant they should go irrespective if Madge gets the arse or not...

He actually used "ebbed and flowed" in the press conference.
He must be having a laugh now.

The boys did their best. They cant help it that they are just not good enough. Just cant defend… maybe one day they will improve.

9th would be a pleasant surprise

If the defensive coach remains after this season it is an indictment of those in power at the club.

Exactly...Madge picked them and if they arent performing THEIR duties absolutely they should go...No KPIs I presume...

Not one kick into the in goal for a reset! Not one attempt. I know the players are poor but this coach, sucks the life out of the team. Modern day vampire...

Came down to the side line, do a little dance for the cameras.

Pick the same team next week.

Rinse, repeat...

@cochise ; Remember when I use to claim you were accepting of medocority and pleased with us coming 9th? What I would do for a 9th place finish.... very dark years ahead I believe.

IAverage recruitment and retention has put players who aren't ready or aren't able in a position where they need to be.

The SOLE reason why Madge cld possibly retain his position next season is that the Board bizzarely re-signed him before a ball was kicked this year ..for the next 2 years!!
Unbelievable..
His position ,based on our performances and ladder,is totally indefensible....except who in Covid has the $1million + to pay him out.
No great reason to retain him..just being pragmatic.
If it was my decision,Id still pay him out..each weak gets more disgraceful than the last, and not much will change next year
What marquee player wants to be part of this mess?

Brooks and Douhi are the play makers ...dont they have an NRL brain and see whats infront of them ...its a game where you take your chances at scoring points ...maybe these guys need much, much more time ...as if Brooks hasnt had enough and AD is going to be the percieved captain and leader EVENTUALLY...

Realistically, this season reflects poorly on everyone in the organisation and all should have their position reviewed.

Anyone thinking Madge can coach this team is as delusional as him at this point.

Presser today : he says "anything can happen" from here.

We are 4 out of the 8 with two games left...and 100 points behind on F and A.

Last two weeks were against extremely poor opposition with half their sides missing...yet he claims 'those' games showed what we can be. Really? Today we had a step up in class vs a team minus half their best players...50 conceded.

Any coach with a brain would know the season has been shot for ages and used the past 6 weeks to build for 2022. But not our bloke, still playing Luc L for the entire game and then wondering why that edge leaks tries....not a word about his mate 'Dave' dancing around rather than committing one way or the other on overlaps...

Nothing will change whilst he is the coach. We have the best injury record in the NRL...teams above us have been decimated for months. Yet we are 13th.

Same old clueless clichés post game...at this point I have just accepted nothing will change until him, Brooks and Nofa go.

No point even getting upset or debating it anymore.

You mentioned to long term WTs players that have everything given to them...hero status...as far as Im concerned you earn that status not get it on a silver spoon because your a junior that came through the system, even though your not up to NRL standard..

Yes...even myself, I have been a Brooksy fan since he was at Holy Cross Ryde. I 'want' to see locals do well.

But he is just not up to managing an NRL side. He can run...broken field...

But he is clueless when we need sometome to steer the ship. Today he had space...and...time...on the last tackle multiple times and simply shuffled the ball on.

When he had to take control.

But we have all said this now for years.

Pascoe seems intent on extending him and Nofa has FOUR more years, so maybe winning is just something we just forsake and cheer on the locals for making the NRL.

At this point I have started to accept that may be the best we can do.

You know what the difference is between us and say,Storm,Rabbits Panthers and Roosters....
those other teams players ,support the ball carrier ,move up in defense, cut out errors.always strive to be on the front foot, complete sets and PLAY FOR EACH OTHER....

thats what we lack because our guys are young and error riddled...its called Pressure and they cant handle it....today proved that ...they score first and then turn to water under the pressure of defending the lead....downvote me call me whatever you want ...Truth hurts a lot of people ...but I stand by what I say...

What about our players who put their heads down after conceding try’s and let them place ball closer to the posts , That would not happen in a Bennett or Bellamy coached side , absolutely gutless
