I hate to inform you but you are, by definition, biased. All fans are.

Not really, if the clubs doing well I’m complimentary, if it’s a dumpster fire (like it is at present) I’m not.

You don't get it.

There’s someone in this conversation that doesn’t get it, and it’s not me.

No it's definitely you. You don't get what bias is. You cannot possibly have an unbiased opinion about the team you follow; it is by definition not possible, as dispassionate as you may believe your argument is.

I know the definition of bias, but I’m not convinced you do.

BORING

Let's see if he has any tactical changes to try pull off a miracle against the Panthers or if we do the exact same things we've lost countless games doing

We will lose by 60 whatever he does. Depends on Panthers. Only game plan that will work is get 10 player suspended and play dirty they won’t want to get hurt going into the finals.

Ive been in more than my share of pointless arguments here, but this one sets the benchmark.

I re-watched a 2019 game and boy did the likes of Elijah Taylor, Ben Matulino, Matt Eisenhuth, Chris Lawrence and Robbie Farah make a difference to our line speed and defence. It also allowed our power players in Josh Aloiai and Thomas Mikaele to play their natural game. I really am going back and forth on whether it is Madge or the players and I think it is just a horrible mix of both. The answer would be to get more senior players in the team but that doesn't seem like it happening any time soon.

Love the comment from Robbie and its a good endorsement for Madge. I only hope its not "faint praise". i.e. What can you say about Madge that is positive....he is "caring".

Which game mate?

Senior players as you say. It’s not a surprise to me and a big reason why our defence has gone backwards.

Using another example the Broncos. Different coach but same result. As the senior players left the squad the team got more flair in their attack but their defence waned most definitely.

RD1 v Manly 2019. You can also tell Brooks has lost quite a bit of zip since then as well.

But remember that was round 1. I watched the round 4 game and it was similar. Be interesting to see if it remained the same in the later part of the season.

The middle part of the season was inconsistent as we always have been but towards the end of the season where we were on the hunt for a finals spot was actually nice to watch when we were on. I thought it was actually smart at the time when Farah got injured to utilise Benji as hooker in attack and Matterson as a 6 until J Reynolds came on at hooker. Some on her were picking Madge for coach of the year. I really can't put my finger on what has happened since then. It looked like we were on the up and Madge had us playing a style that was competitive.

If we look who our potential NRL side was to be on the field regularly this year and the team we are fielding against the Panthers, then we cant possibly have faith in the result being a positive one...

Not playing and are sidelined for varying reasons.....

BJ
JTJ
Tamou
Laurie
AD
Musgrove

There are more but these were going to be our core players...Madge has given a few young guys a debut but really with chopping and changing this year and debuting young guys,we never really expected to be finals bound,we did though expect much better performances from the players that were labeled as leaders and quality youth....

No.... Injuries and unforced changes are part and parcel of a rugby league season
Pretty much everyone had us down to make the semis at the start of the season
