Hence a long slow painful rebuild is on the way
Only another 10 years to go.
If at all. They’ll find ways of cocking it up along the way. They always do.
Your optimism is infectious.
I call as I see it, without bias.
I hate to inform you but you are, by definition, biased. All fans are.
Not really, if the clubs doing well I’m complimentary, if it’s a dumpster fire (like it is at present) I’m not.
You don't get it.
There’s someone in this conversation that doesn’t get it, and it’s not me.
No it's definitely you. You don't get what bias is. You cannot possibly have an unbiased opinion about the team you follow; it is by definition not possible, as dispassionate as you may believe your argument is.
I know the definition of bias, but I’m not convinced you do.
BORING
I'm certain you know what that word means.
Yes it's everything you've written the last 3 or 4 attempts.
We can’t all post riveting content like you.
I like what jirskyre posts,he is informative and most of all pretty clear and cohesive in what he says...he usually has clear and concise input that most people appreciate..there are many who are no where near as informed as he is....
You would, Madge can do no wrong and we are on track for a turn around next year when Madges ‘systems” mature and bear yuge dividends according to he and your good self, so it makes sense you would appreciate and agree with his posts… you both could be right but I am seeing NONE of it. I think we are a basket case that is bein atrociously coached and horribly run and are in for a world of hurt next year unless we are coached by someone that can actually improve the teams attack , defence and attitude…
I'd be curious to be pointed to posts from anyone on this forum who thinks "Madge can do no wrong". I also don't think anyone seriously believe we are in for "huge dividends" in 2022.
That's certainly not my position, although you seem to be saying that both myself and some other folks are unconditional supporters of what the club is doing right now. I'm also not the kind of person to talk about "true supporters" or any such nonsense - supporters come in all shapes and sizes.
But if you are going to lump me in with some group of "blind followers" then you've got it all wrong, and either you don't read what I post, or you don't understand it, or I have written it in a manner which is not easy to understand.
So a recap if you care, concise as possible:
(a) It's easy to criticise, it's much harder to criticise constructively, and criticism for it's own sake doesn't really get us anywhere.
(b) Tigers are not playing well with Madge, nor was the team successful before Madge either. It's a club-wide issue that is very high chance of not being fixed simply by hooking the coach.
(c) I believe coaches should be given ~5 years to develop their roster and systems, and I believe this should be independent of whether or not a team is "getting better" year on year.
(d) There are very many things us fans cannot control (e.g. the board, CEO appointments, coach appointments etc.) and I find it pointless to rail against such things repeatedly.
(e) Tigers have decided to pursue a strategy of signing boom youngsters from all catchments, and it's going to take few years for that strategy to bear real fruit.
None of that is blind, nor does it say the club doesn't deserve criticism.
