Daily Telegraph reporting that Moses Mbye was hung out to dry by the Tigers and was left behind as excess baggage by Cleary and that Michael Chee Kam has been really poorly treated by the Tigers and Harry Grant had nothing but praise for the Tigers and Madge.Wish we still had you Harry

It's a recurrent theme. Hard working players who want to be the best they can, have nothing but praise for Madge, while lazy pea-hearted players complain they are hard done by. And people think the coach is the issue.

Those same pea hearts at souths won a premiership, go figure

I do not recall Moses Mbye winning a premiership at Souths.

The souths players complained about Madge, got him sacked, they won a premiership, he lost the sheds there, and lost them here too, his last 5 years as an NRL coach are diabolically bad, as bad as any coach I can think of

Three of the top 8 coaches have been moved on by clubs only to be rehired by the same clubs - says alot clubs ,coaches ,and rosters.

Madge has been fighting an uphill battle that every other coach has failed to fix year on year. I honestly believe that if someone with the mentality of Madge can’t fix us, no one can. He gives every ounce of energy he has to trying to make us better.

I honestly believe he needs some better assistants around him.

I wish the club would invest as much ammo into this area as it possibly can. Sheens will help tremendously, but we need the best defensive coaches, attacking coaches, kicking coaches to get involved and help Madge. That’s the big key in my opinion. I think he takes too much on on his own and needs to share the load more.

We need players who want to win at all costs. Look at Melbourne, look at Penrith. They’re teams that hate losing one game a season. I think by finding the best of the best assistants (whether they’re precious NRL coaches or not) with the same work ethic and vision as Madge is what’s needed to turn our fortunes around.

Maybe the mentality is too much.

It might be for loser players. Is Bellamy too tough for the Storm?

You know Bellamy isn't like that 24/7 right? He develops better relationships with his players.

How do you know he develops better relationships? Bellamy is an intense dude when it comes to switching on, as is Madge. It’s part of the job. Madge is a decent human and cares about his players as well. The difference is Bellamy has players around him who want to be the best and compete every week. We have a bunch of kids who point the finger at each other. Madge is trying to turn these boys into men but half of them seem too stupid to see it and buy in.

Tigers players for far too long have taken the mickey. They’re well-paid players and should be accountable. People need to stop blaming the coach, the coach doesn’t let in 38 points against the wooden spooners. It was abysmal, no effort and pathetic.

Madge isn’t without fault, but he means well and I believe is doing the best he can with a mess that was left to him. He just needs to surround himself with some better coaching support and recruit players who want to win, can follow a game plan and genuinely want to be successful.

Concern is the suggestion that Madge says one thing to the players face and another behind their back. Seyfarth's contract negotiations were mentioned as an example, McIntyre appeared to cop a similar treatment.

Is that Madge or is that the number of different fingers that we have in our recruitment pie?

I don't think that anyone would suggest that Bellamy is 2 faced with the players. If there is any truth in the stories around Madge, then he has sealed his own fate. Can never lead anything and have buy in if your audience questions your integrity

I look at physical evidence and for last 3 years WT defence and attack has regressed. No line speed, no structure in attack and what 5th tackle option. Hail Mary and wish for the best. I don't like sacking coaches but Maguire on the evidence available plus lack of ability to attract top talent to WT means he has to go asap. Seems not up with the current games trends.

If Bellamy came here he would be doing almost exactly what Madge is trying to do.

He has let the rabble rousers and deadwood go.

Maguire is 1 Man standing in the face of 15 Yer plus of largely Garbage.

Next year is gonna be worse with or without Madge as we have the youngest Ave age of any team in the NRL .

We need to stick solid with him for the next 2 years. This panic cant continue!

Not having a go at u Harvey,

I find it hard to believe that Madge would be this type of person. Not his Character.

Strikes me as a decent and honest Man.

The funny thing I have been reading how the WTs keep sacking coaches as remedy for underperforming players and keep players such as Brooks and Noffa because their juniors and it stands out clearly that the club makes the same mistakes over and over and never learn...
so what really makes me laugh this time is sack Madge and recruit a coach capable of getting this team playing finals...and re-employing a sacked coach who had court action against the club to become involved in the club again...
And you guys reckon sacking Madge and not looking at the people who are in charge of employing various personell get a free pass.....

He's as good as gone TT, let's focus now on the future of this magnificent club.

So you agree that Lee and Pasco have no fault as to where this club is at...you dont want Madge, but dont let that cloud your judgement that the higher ups also bare responsabilty for poor seasons...

Don't put words in my mouth, i've never defended Pascoe or Lee and would be quite happy for them both to be given the arse. But you can't do everything at once. Getting rid of Madge (and his assistants) immediately is the most important thing for the club at the moment so we can prepare for the preseason. I'm hoping it's announced in the next day or two so we can move on from his dumpster fire of a tenure.

You're like a dog on a bone with the madge sacking.

Chammas toast

Stick with him and this roster and we are guaranteed the spoon next season. How stupid would we look if we had the chance to get rid of him now and then we keep him next year and we finish last because the roster is the same and our best player could miss half the comp. just bite the bullet now, he’s absolutely no chance of seeing out his last 2 years

I wonder what role or influence Sheens will have in this review, even though he is still in London? Surely IF Maguire is punted (and, I hope he isn't) then Sheens would want to know the options being considered for NRL coach because he has to work with them. And, Sheenius can be just as grumpy and crusty as Maguire on a good day.

Someone mentioned today on radio sheens isn't clear what his role is yet.

Yep, i've been wanting it for ages so i'm glad we're finally there. It's been a terrible season, looking forward to having a good coach at the helm for 2022.

I think we will be last regardless.

Then we have to start all over again.. Another 2-3 year rebuild.

The Tigers have been inconsistent for the most of the last 15 years.

I'm finding there is a real cult like loyalty to Madge that brings out the worst in people whenever he is criticised for anything. You're a prime example.

How stupid are we going to look if we dump Maguire, get a new coach in and we still finish last? Perhaps because the players don't like the new coach either? Were in a no-win situation at the moment. If only we could magically offload the multitude of non-performers in the team who refuse to show commitment and pride in themselves and the club and replace them with players who at least have a go. They don't even have to be talented, just willing to play hard every week. That would be a gift.

No way they will finish with the spoon next year. Steph, Douehi, Blore, Simpkins, Simpkin, Laurie, Hastings, Seyfarth all a year better. Brooks given the arse. These young guys buy into Madge, it is the other deadheads Nofo, Brooks, Packer, Leilua who are guaranteed losers never have achieved anything who are the issue.
