How anyone could watch that video and still want Madge as coach is beyond me.

He was never here for the long term, we need to develop into our players the love for the club that he lacked, the belief that they are the ones to turn it into the success that it deserves to be.

I think it would be a boost for the club to stick by madge, show the media they are willing to back the man they extended not even 12 months ago and let him have more time to see his plan come through developing the younger players and youth pathways. Move on some more deadwood over the off season and let him continue to build the team

I agree. I’m or 100% sold on Madge but I think changing coaches is going to send us back further. Surely if the game has passed Madge by as people are suggesting, then it has well and truly passed Sheens

I would be looking at someone like Robbie Farah to be highly involved in that area, to drive that love of the club and instill it into the young guys we have coming through.

Sacking Sheens was the right decision imo.

So how do you feel about bringing him back?

I thought at the time it was the right decision to move him on, I would have him as coach next year working with an up and coming coach to take over in the next 2 years.

That’s hindsight for you because sacking him clearly was a mistake.

No not really, what is right for an organisation at one point in time may not be the same thing 10 years later.

Never said we were successful, I am a fan of Sheens. Just because things didn't get better does not mean the decision to relieve Sheens was wrong. It means the decision to appoint is replacement was wrong.

Ok why did tigers sack him?

I think going from predicted premiers to not making the finals may have had an impact.

Imagine if storm sacked Bellamy for missing one year of the finals?

You would have to think Ciraldo would be interested .. he has done everything he can at Penrith .
At some stage he will have to step out of the comfort zone

G'day @cochise When I was listening to the ABC footy show yesterday, a bloke using the name Danny rang in re getting rid of Madge, and he sounded just like you.
Was that you? or was it your twin brother?

Whatever way the club goes they better not get a young guy that needs Sheens help. Sheens has to get the pathways right he’s a great asset. Bringing him back in a coaching capacity is counter productive. Our front office is cactus as is our recruitment, retention and development. It’s the areas we need fixed. I sense Madge survives for another year but either way they have to make a call fast.

That is why we have put Betsey and Kimmorley into pathways, Betsey seems like a good bet to head up that area of the club.
