Dont know if it is the right career move for Leo.
He was bought in to work with the entire WT coaching structure which would have been beneficial long term.
Have to admire his passion though.
Will be interesting what, if any, depth players Leo takes with him to the Pies

Don't want to get into Politics but why cannot we have just 1 team in NSW Cup call Wests Tigers :question:

If this is true, then I feel sorry for Trevor Schodel. He wasnt given much to work with, and I hope this experience hasnt dented his confidence in coaching.

I'm trying not to sound harsh , but what will this fix ??

I still maintain it is a disgrace what has happened For me this is still the darkest time in Wests Tigers history and they should not of let it get to this stage
To let the Wests Magpies end like this is disgusting and I hope the people who let it happen are proud of themselves
At least they could of let us die with some dignity

Wests Tigers made a decision for its long term brand, but the Magpies rebuked any support and chose to field a team in the NSW Cup on their own.
Beleive all the fluff peices you like, but this is the outcome of their actions, their actions alone?!

Having seen my Panthers in Brisbane die exactly the same way (They lost every game in their last season also ) this is painful to watch for a proud foundation club
I agree that the Wests Tigers is the way of the future , but we (as a joint venture) should of found a better end for both sides of the venture

It's a real credit to the guys they have playing for them to turn up week after week knowing an onslaught awaits them!!
Surely through the 3 grades there is a couple spare players that wouldn't hurt from a run?
I think that they possibly should be going to the Magpies instead of Burwood.... (If that is the case?)

2 nsw cup teams worked well for WT for a decade providing a pathway to success to WT nrl level. Brought WT a premiership in 2005
Come 2011, all wests (macarthur based) bred quality players are sent to balmain as the now default feeder side to WT (at the demise of wests player strength)
Come 2012, WT take over financial running of BRET (balmain are in financial trouble) and as a result have a better players and resources to run a nsw cup team.
So WSDRLFC despite all the setbacks and being shafted in its role in the JV are forced into bailing out a broke balmain fc to form a Single wt team at nsw cup level. Killing off the magpies brand and losing it to the dominate tigers brand once more. Magpies FC resisted and want to remain a football club unlike balmain fc where the tigers brand of WT and tigers brand of BRET is hard to distinguish and seperate
One brand ideology is a myth. Roosters are linked to jets, dragons to cutters, souths to norths, parra to wenty, penrith to windsor etc
Ashfield has been committed to supporting both WT and a magpies nsw cup team. Balmain fc cannot do the same...
Magpies have paid the price - but thank mr humphries and mr sheens and the ignorant backroom decision makers for that.

Like sand through the hour glass...

Wests Tigers or nothing for 2013.
They have enough fringe players, NYC graduates and top tier players not required every week for NRL to make the decision easy.

This "2 Feeder sides won us the Comp in 05" Garbage we hear time and time again
IS THE BIGGEST myth!!!
We used 26 players in 05, 17 of them won the comp.
Anyone who makes claims that:
Using 2 Props, 3 Centre/Wingers, 2 Fullback/Wingers, 1 Half and 1 Back Rower outside your starting team, Over the course of the season a) Had any bearing on us winning the premiership or b) cant be accomplished from 1 feeder team is absolutely outside thier mind.
One could argue that almost every other team that's won it since the dawn of time, Did it with one reserve grade team.... So we should only have one??
